Researcher to present Flora of Fones Cliffs

The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society (VNPS) will meet Thursday, November 20, at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock. The gathering will begin at noon with light refreshments and social time followed by the program at 12:30 p.m.

Sam Dutilly will discuss the Flora of Fones Cliffs in Richmond County.  A graduate student at The College of William & Mary, Dutilly has spent a few years studying the native flora and plant communities in the Fones Cliffs area. This stretch of white-colored diatomaceous cliffs rises over 100 feet above the Rappahannock….
