Rev. Sam James will speak for Missions Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service March 17 at Smithland Baptist Church, 1047 Walnut Point Road, Heathsville.
Rev. James has served with the International Mission Board for 54 years in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, reported publicity chairman Patsy C. Headley. Before becoming a missionary he served six years in the U.S. Navy, and pastored two churches in North Carolina during college and seminary.
