Rhythm in Blue to present ‘legendary’ jazz

Rhythm in Blue will return to the Irvington Commons on Sunday.

Rhythm in Blue, the jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, will perform jazz classics and works by legendary singers Sunday, August 28, at the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carer Drive, Irvington.

The concert, sponsored by the Village Improvement Association (VIA), will begin at 6 p.m. Concertgoers are urged to bring lawn chairs and picnics to enjoy the performance. The program will include pieces by band leaders Count Basie and Glenn Miller, vocalists Sarah Vaughn and Anita O’Day and composers Cole Porter and Hoagy Carmichael.
