HEATHSVILLE—Richard E. “Dick” Wiley, 79, of Heathsville passed away on June 13, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Baretta “Gerry” Wiley; children, David Wiley, Steven Wiley and Tracey Wiley Martin; five grandchildren, Katrina, Lauren, Zachary, Claire and Ethan; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Scarlett, and four siblings, William Wiley, John Wiley, Martha Palmer and Betty Short.
Mr. Wiley is a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed as an electrician with Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco) for 37 years before retiring in the Northern Neck. He was a member of the Northumberland Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and many hobbies, but spending time with family and friends is what he enjoyed the most.
Family and friends attended a funeral service at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 17, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Heathsville. Interment was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18, at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
