Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will present a special show featuring Mathews native Richard Smith at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 21, at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
The Opry drummer, Smith, will step out from behind the set to offer one of the most energetic shows this year, A Tribute to Travis Tritt, said president Lynda Smith.
“If you love rockabilly, soulful, blues-filled country music, you must already love Travis Tritt, a country legend who made his debut in the country world in the early 90s,” said L. Smith.
