CALLAO—Robert “Bobby” Edward Douglas Sr., 83, of Callao passed away Monday, January 15, 2018.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Annie Gray Douglas; son, Eddie Douglas (Sonya); daughter, Angie Douglas (Chris); grandsons, Ronald Douglas (Dawn) and Chris Douglas (Shannon); granddaughter, Sara Morse (Matt); great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ryleigh, Brodey, Kolbey and Shane; and a sister, Emma Geraldine Douglas Overstreet (Charlie). He also leaves behind his furbabies, Toby and Lucky, which he adored.
He is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Wray Douglas; his father and mother, Beale Fairfax Douglas and Addie Jones Douglas; a sister, Doris Douglas Vanlandingham Purcell; and a brother, William Beale Douglas.
Bobby was a retired employee of Verizon and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and his family.
Bobby will be greatly missed by all…until we meet again.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20, at Bethany Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 19, at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel.
