His career in corporate packaging spanned more than 40 years garnering him several industry awards. He founded his own company, Display Dynamics, which was on the leading edge of the scrapbooking industry. JR also served in the Army Reserves right after he graduated from college and regaled his family with stories of bravery while on KP duty.
JR retired with his wife to White Stone 10 years ago to be closer to his grandkids and filled his time by serving on the board of the Northern Neck Food Bank, volunteering with the AARP income tax program and for his neighborhood association.
He loved his tractor, being on the river, traveling with his wife and was committed to leaving his mark on his community. Always eager to sit and talk over a good meal, JR could and did make friends with anyone.
A private scattering of ashes is planned at their home in White Stone and at Paul’s Chapel in Winnamac, Ind.
