MECHANICSVILLE—Robert Martin Snider died on June 19, 2019, after a difficult battle with cancer.
He was born on November 8, 1962, in Trenton, N.J., the son of Virginia and David Snider. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School in 1981. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1982-1988, as a machinist mate with nuclear propulsion operator certification.
He was the owner/operator of the Chesapeake Service Corporation in the Northern Neck area.
He is survived by his siblings Deborah Knowles (Paul Knowles) of Huntington, W.Va., Stephen Snider (Judy Snider) of Raynham, Mass., Phillip Snider (Daria Snider) of Gum Spring, and Melissa Snider (Ron Schwertfeger) of Huntsville, Ala.
A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Coolwell Clubhouse, 8201 Tavern Keepers, Mechanicsville.
