WEEMS—Roy Norvelle Harcum Sr. of Weems, 67, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Veterans Hospital in La Jolla, Calif.
Roy was born December 9, 1949, in Weems to parents Elize L. and Betty F. (Pitman) Harcum. He served the country 21 years in the U.S. Navy, was a Vietnam veteran and retired as an ABHC.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabaitha (Dayton Newman) Harcum and Suzana Harcum; siblings, Arthur Harcum, Peggy Dunston, Margaret (Bobby) Ambrose and Ewell (Karen) Harcum; grandchildren, Alyson Harcum and Daylin Newman; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Roy N. Harcum Jr.
Memorial Services will be at held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at Morattico Baptist Church, 924 Morattico Church Road, Kilmarnock.
