Sail250 underway
Land-side displays during the Sail Yorktown Festival on Friday, June 12, included a Workboat Life exhibit which featured the Kellum Brothers of Weems, a 16-foot flat bottom skiff, built Northern Neck style by J. Thomas Kellum in 1990. For over 100 years, traditional skiffs similar to this were seen sculling up local creeks in search of soft crabs and peeler crabs.
