WHITE STONE—It is with a heavy heart, the family of Sammy “Hobo” Wood, 74, of White Stone, announces his sudden passing from his earthly home to his heavenly home on November 27, 2021.
He retired from Verizon with 38 years of service and served four years in the Army (Vietnam). He was a stranger to no one and a friend to all, always with a smile.
Sammy is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pat; son, Joe Fulcher (Tonya); daughter, Michelle Kellam (Paul); three grandchildren, Michael (Nicole), Chloe (Joel) and Austin; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason and Aiden; sister, JoAnn Jacobs, Fla.; brother-in-law, Kenny Eaves; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nancy L. and Samuel D. Wood; and a brother, Dowell Wood.
