WHITE STONE—Samuel “Sam” B. Lankford Jr., 73, of White Stone passed away on June 28, 2018. He was the son of the late Samuel B. Lankford Sr. and Louise Urban Lankford.
He is survived by his wife, Sophie Lankford; daughters, Diana Adkins (Dana) and Alisa Mugridge (Mark); four grandchildren, Sierra, Daniel, Blake and Braedin; sister, Patsy Hall (David) ; niece, Joelle Harvey (Mark) and nephew, Keith Barrack (Carrie).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie Lankford; grandson, Derek McComas; and brother, Bruce Lankford.
Sam was a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant.
Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, July 3, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively.
Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
