WEEMS—Sarah Rogers Franklin Rice, 73, of Weems passed away on August 10. She was the widow of Winston W. Rice.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Franklin (Dale) of Weems and Sharon Hardy (“Bunny”) of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Jessica, Keon and Kiera; five great-grandchildren, Raeghan, Jacobi, Chloe, Kejuan and Saperia; sister, Joyce R. Walker of Charlottesville; brother, Richard Rogers of Weems; and beloved cat, “Sissy.”
The family is grateful for the support and care from Dr. Vicki Kinsel, the staff of the Tappahannock Dialysis Center and to her neighbors, Wilson and Sandra Evans of Weems.

Services will be private.
