Say ‘aloe’ to Grow NNK

An air-plant and succulent terrarium-making business called Grow NNK recently opened at 82 South Main Street in  Kilmarnock.

Grow NNK, which stands for Grow Northern Neck, is a small and vibrant space in the heart of Kilmarnock’s downtown area. Tucked between two much larger structures, it’s easy to overlook, but once you notice its charm, the business is hard to ignore.

A wall of spiky air-plants suspended against the windows of the shop draw curious customers inside, where they will find a number of terrarium-making stations, a collection of local goods for sale, and a bar.

“My goal is to provide a laid back, happy vibe for people to come and experience something meaningful together,” said owner Melissa Burke.
