Several local student athletes were recognized at Christchurch School

Christchurch School recently celebrated the end of its school year with a co-curricular banquet to recognize excellence in the spring season.

Several local student athletes received awards, according to communications assistant Jennifer Homer.

In girls soccer, Kayla Hatton received the hustle award. She is the daughter of James and Amber Hatton of Wake.

In softball, Alivia Bruce was named most valuable. She is the daughter of Kyle and Erin Bruce of Gloucester.

Lex Foster was named most improved. She is the daughter of Shannon McCook and Antonio Foster of Gloucester.

Avery Thomas received the hustle award. She is the daughter of Joshua and Heather Thomas of Cobbs Creek.

In golf, Gaige Walden was named most valuable. He is the son….
