Sheriff’s Report 01-13-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies

David Marquette Green, 49, of Lancaster was charged January 5 with malicious bodily injury, two counts of sexual battery, abduction by force/intimidation and strangulation resulting in injury.

Dwayne Purcell Walters, 50, of Heathsville was charged January 7 with possession of a Schedule I/II narcotic and appearing intoxicated in public.

Misdemeanors

A Weems woman, 66, was charged January 5 with driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .15-.20% and reckless driving.

A Rappahannock Academy woman, 25, was charged January 7 with revocation of conditional release.

Activity report

January 3: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Mary Ball Road near Chinns Mill Pond for trees down in the roadway, to Courthouse and White Chapel roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to River and Nuttsville roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 10100 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Mary Ball and Chases roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Ocran and Mary Ball roads for an abandoned vehicle, and to the 5100 block of White Chapel Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

January 4: Staff responded to the 5700 block of White Chapel Road to assist emergency medical services with a medical issue.

January 5: Staff responded to the 300 block of Gilbert Street for a possible suicidal person, to the 100 block of Morattico Road to assist Social Services with a welfare check on a juvenile, and to the 200 block of Johns Neck Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

January 6: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Beanes Road for a suspicious person.

January 7: Staff responded to the 100 block of Capricorn Lane for a domestic disturbance, to River and Mary Ball roads for a reckless driver, to the 100 block of Chestnut Grove Road for theft of two propane tanks, to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for a wanted person, to the 3900 block of Black Stump Road to check the welfare of a juvenile, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for brandishing a firearm during a fight in progress, and to Waverly Avenue to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a single-vehicle traffic crash.

January 8: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sweet Gum Road for a minor two-vehicle traffic crash, and to Jesse duPont Memorial Highway for a reckless driver.

January 9: Staff responded to the 2500 block of Windmill Point Road for a sudden death, to the 300 block of East Church Street to assist KPD with fight in progress, and to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist KPD with a suspicious person.

Staff also conducted six traffic stops, issued two summonses, assisted 10 motorists, recorded four deer strike accidents, handled four calls for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged one inmate transport, and received 13 E911 hang-up calls.

Fire calls

The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a lift assistance request on West Bay Drive, a fire/smoke alarm on William B. Graham Court and with White Stone VFD to a fire/smoke alarm on Walnut Street.

The Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a possible brush fire on Windy Point Lane.
