Sheriffs’ Reports

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.

A White Stone man, 68, was charged February 16 with trespassing.

A Lancaster man, 54, was charged February 18 with violating a provision of a preliminary protective order.

A Lancaster woman, 27, was charged February 22 with trespassing.

Activity report

February 16: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for trespassing.

February 17: Staff responded to the 300 block of Steamboat Road for destruction of property, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a firearm violation.

February 18: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a reckless driver, to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for legal advice, to the 17000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 400 block of Mosquito Point Road for a reckless driver, to the 3000 block of Avonne Street for a domestic disturbance, and to Harris and Mary Ball roads for a disabled vehicle.

February 19: Staff responded to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for destruction of property.

February 20: Staff responded to the 100 block of River Bluff Road for an adult welfare check, to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for destruction of property, to Mary Ball and Old Salem roads for a domestic disturbance, to the 500 block of Hoecake Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 80 block of Bridge Point Court for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 90 block of Shady Lane for phone harassment, and to Fleets Bay Road for debris in the highway.

February 21: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Beach Road for a downed tree, and to the 100 block of First Street for a fight in progress.

February 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Bluefish Road for a larceny, to Mary Ball and River roads for a downed tree, and to Jeffery Avenue for downed power lines.

Staff also conducted 16 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled four requests for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded six calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 460 South Main Street.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against seven individuals.

Felonies

Dwayne Purcell Walters, 54, of Lancaster man was charged February 12 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court, Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury, for four counts of manufacturing/distribution of a Schedule I/II drug, third plus offense on all four charges.

Kemijah Deshon Thomas, 22, of Heathsville was charged February 13 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court, Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury, for one count of selling/distribution of a Schedule 1/II drug.

Tyreek Delonte’ Carroll, 19, of Warsaw was charged February 18 with carnal knowledge of a child ages 13-14 without force. He also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Misdemeanors

A Burgess man, 26, was charged February 8 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the King William General District Court for driving suspended and failing to report to jail to serve weekends. He was charged by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Montross man, 39, was charged February 8 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear on a summons that was issued and served personally. He was charged by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

A Callao woman, 59, was charged February 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense, refusal of breath test and driving with an open container.

A Hague man, 37, was charged February 14 with being drunk in public.
