Sheriff’s Report 04-03-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.

Felonies

Tyrese Deshawn Samuel, 25, of Richmond was charged March 24 with manufacture, import, sell, offer for sale, possess, transfer or transport an auto sear or a trigger activator; 23 counts of knowingly and intentionally possess or transport ammunition after having been convicted of a felony; recklessly handle a firearm so as to endanger life, limb or property (misdemeanor); and dump or otherwise dispose trash, garbage, refuse, litter or other unsightly matter on public property or on private property without the written consent of the owner or his agent (misdemeanor).

Keenan Lionel Samuel, 33, of Lancaster was charged March 24 with knowingly and intentionally possess or transport a firearm after having been convicted of a felony within the prior 10 years; recklessly handle a firearm so as to endanger life, limb or property (misdemeanor); and dump or otherwise dispose of trash, garbage, refuse, litter or other unsightly matter on public property or on private property without the written consent of the owner or his agent (misdemeanor).

Molly Jean Kane, female, 45, of Kilmarnock was charged March 25 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of assault and battery of a law enforcement officer.

William Morris Noel, 39, of Weems was arrested on March 25 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance.

Jason Michael Vcrlander, 36, of Lancaster was charged March 27 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of destruction of property.

Sean Michael Williams, 42, of Heathsville was charged March 29 with disregarding signal by law enforcement officer to stop; eluding law enforcement; three counts of destruction of property; obstructing justice; resisting arrest; fleeing from a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor); driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked (misdemeanor); and driving a vehicle on a highway recklessly or at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger life, limb or property of a person (misdemeanor).

Misdemeanors

A White Stone woman, 42, was charged March 25 with assault and battery.

A White Stone man, 34, was charged March 26 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

March 24: Staff responded to the 1900 block of Black Stump Road for a verbal dispute, to the 10000 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for verbal threats, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an assault, to Irvington and Weems roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of First Street for harassment.

March 25: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for an adult welfare check, to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to River Road for a reckless driver, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an assault.

March 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a prowler, to the 20 block of Oak Farm Road for an adult welfare check, to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to Cypress Lane for a disabled vehicle, to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 600 block of North Main Street for suspicious activity.

March 27: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a verbal dispute, to the 700 block of Poplar Neck Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 1000 block of Black Stump Road for a domestic disturbance.

March 28: Staff responded to the 1000 block of River Road for suspicious activity, to Regina Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 400 block of Irvington Road for a breaking and entering and destruction of property, and to the 1000 block of Corrotoman Drive for a breaking and entering and destruction of property.

March 29: Staff responded to White Chapel Road for a downed tree, to the 1900 block of Black Stump Road for a domestic assault, to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for a motor vehicle pursuit, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to the 200 block of Nugent Lane for a suspicious person, to the 100 block of Wishing Well Lane for legal advice, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint.

March 30: Staff responded to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for a fight in progress, to Steamboat Road for an abandoned vehicle, to Newtown Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to Irvington and Old Saint Johns roads for debris in the highway.

Staff also conducted 30 traffic stops, issued 25 summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged an inmate transports, and received six E911 hangup calls.

Fire Calls

The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to traffic crashes at Irvington and Weems roads and 1385 Irvington Road, and fire alarms at 460 South Main Street and 124 Shamrock Court.
