Sheriff’s Report 05-05-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against seven individuals.

Felonies

Tynesha Chanelle Davenport, 39, of Lancaster was charged April 25, accessory after the fact on a felony offense, obstruct/resist law enforcement and obstruct justice by giving false information to a criminal investigator.

Daryl Colllin Mitchell, 34, of Lancaster was charged April 26 with probation violation on a felony offense.

Khristen Ontaria Parker, 22, of Tappahannock was charged April 27 with bank note/coin forgery or employ as true; possess bank notes that are known to be a forgery; worthless check, larceny of under $1000; and uttering or attempting to employ a forged check.

Kayla Maryah Veney, 20, Lancaster was charged April 27 with bank note/coin forgery or employ as true; possess bank notes that are known to be a forgery; worthless check, larceny of under $1000; and uttering or attempting to employ a forged check.

Donovan Ramon Gregory, 23, of White Stone was charged April 28 with three counts of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, maliciously shooting or throwing a missile at an occupied building, maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle and damaging property valued over $1000.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster man, 35, was charged with attempting to without just cause, knowingly obstruct a witness in the performance of their duties.

A Mattaponi man, 43, was charged April 30 with going upon, or remaining upon a building, land or premises after having been forbidden to do so by a sign posted by an authorized individual.

Activity Report

April 25: Staff responded to the 200 block of Kathy Drive for suspicious activity, to the 400 block of Loblolly Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 100 block of Havenwood Lane to check the welfare of a resident.

April 26: Staff responded to the 1100 block of Corrotoman Drive for vandalism of a tennis court, to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Nuttsville Road for a suicidal person, to the 3000 block of Merry Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

April 27: Staff responded to the 600 block of McSwain Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 500 block of Wilson Lane for a verbal dispute, and to Shore Drive and Washington Street for a reckless driver.

April 28: Staff responded to Washington Street for a tractor trailer parked in the roadway, and to the 4300 block of Morattico Road for a domestic disturbance and vandalism.

April 29: Staff responded to the 100 block of Ronnoc Way for suspicious activity, to the 5100 block of Mary Ball Road for an abandoned vehicle, to the 900 block of Ocran Road for stolen medication, and to the 200 block of Mosquito Beach Lane for an assault.

April 30: Staff responded to the 100 block of Byway Circle to deliver a death notification, to the 11000 block of River Road for juveniles in a golf cart on public highway, to the 300 block of Earl Drive for possible narcotics found, to the 3000 block of Merry Point Road for a trespasser, and to the 400 block of Spring Hill Road for an abandoned boat.

May 1: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a car part in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to Lee Road to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department with suspicious activity, to the 18300 block of Mary Ball Road for a noise violation from loud music, to Mary Ball and Ocran roads for the brandishing of a firearm, and to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads to assist the Virginia State Police with the pursuit of a vehicle.

Staff also conducted 16 traffic stops, issued seven summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled seven calls for traffic control, investigated eight building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received 18 E911 hang-up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire call

The Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire on South Drive.
