Sheriff’s report 08-20-26

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against seven individuals.

Felonies

Blake Re’Shad Taylor-Rice, 28, of White Stone was charged August 11 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of disregarding a signal by law enforcement officer to stop; eluding police and failure to obey an order of being of peace and good behavior for a period of five years.

Rebekah Revere Smith, 40, of Lancaster was charged August 12 with six counts of forging and uttering, two counts embezzlement, and two counts of identity theft.

William Francis Rosalia, 49, of White Stone was charged August 14 with unlawfully, feloniously and knowingly attempting to intimidate or impede a witness or to obstruct or impede a witness or to obstruct or impede the administration, and stalking (misdemeanor).

Jaiquawn Dominique Smith, 24, of Lancaster was charged August 16 with breaking and entering a dwelling house while it was occupied with the intent to commit other misdemeanor, and knowingly communicating in writing including an electronically transmitted communication producing a visual or electronic message including an email, text message or a message or post on any social media platform a threat to kill or do bodily injury and the threat places such person in reasonable apprehension of death or bodily injury to such person or family member.

Misdemeanors

An Henrico man, 36, was charged August 10 with driving a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended or revoked.

A White Stone man, 71, was charged August 12 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

A White Stone man, 42, was charged August 13 with failure to abide by bond conditions on the underlying charge of driving a motor vehicle while license is revoked or suspended.

Activity report

August 10: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Bridge Jr. Memorial Bridge for a disabled vehicle, to the 300 block of Ivey Creek Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a domestic disturbance, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for downed utility lines, to the 300 block of White Chapel Road for a downed tree, and to Windmill Point Road for a downed tree.

August 11: Staff responded to the 700 block of Rappahannock Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 3000 block of Crawfords Corner Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute.

August 12: Staff responded to the 100 block of Safe Harbor Lane for a suspicious person, and to Ocran and Scott roads a two-vehicle traffic crash.

August 13: Staff responded to the Norris Bridge for a reckless driver, and to the 400 block of White Chapel Road for a disabled vehicle.

August 14: Staff responded to Devils Bottom Road for the report of a disabled vehicle.

August 15: Staff responded to the 3000 block of Mary Ball Road for a downed tree, to the 300 block of Lumberlost Trail for trespassing, to Mary Ball and Field Trail roads for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Methodist Church roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for  a two-vehicle traffic crash.

Staff also conducted 20 traffic stops, issued 17 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded a deer strike accident, handled 10 requests for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, processed five mental health orders, logged two inmate transports, received eight E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a lawn mower fire on James Wharf Road, and separate traffic crashes on Rappahannock Drive and Mary Ball and methodist Church roads.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a gas leak on Mary Ball Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a request for mutual aid regarding a structure fire on McNeal Road in Reedville.
