Sheriff’s Report 08-26-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against four individuals.

A Kilmarnock man, 26, was charged August 16 with contempt of court, failure to appear.

An Irvington man, 61, was charged August 17 with assault.

A White Stone man, 33, was charged August 20 with failure to appear on a traffic summons.

A Lancaster man, 67, was charged August 22 with violating terms of a pretrial release on a felony offense.

Activity report

August 16: Staff responded to a walk-in report of damage to a vehicle from a gunshot, to the 100 block of Shady Lane for a noise violation from loud music, to White Stone on Mary Ball Road for the report of a vehicle being operated in the wrong lane, and to the 100 block of Ring Farm Road for a domestic disturbance.

August 17: Staff responded to the 100 block of New South Road to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a domestic assault in progress, to the 500 block of Rio Vista for a verbal disagreement over a property line, to the 2100 block of Windmill Point Road for the larceny of a cement pig lawn yard ornament,  to Mary Ball and Pierces roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 200 block of Riverwood Drive for vandalism of a mailbox.

August 18: Staff responded to the 100 block of Oak Leaf Drive for a larceny, and to the 800 block of Nuttsville Road for a stolen Glock Model 29 .40 caliber handgun.

August 19: Staff responded to the 200 block of Wishing Well Lane for a disorderly person, to a walk-in report of a person with an altered mental status that occurred at the 2100 block of Morattico Road, to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another in the 100 block of Myway Lane, to a report of vandalism of a vehicle windshield in the 300 block of Ocran Road, and to Weems and Christ Church roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

August 20: Staff responded to the 4000 block of Weems Road for a sudden death, to the 6200 block of Morattico Road for an assault, to the 100 block of Clark Road for a domestic assault, and to the 400 block of Christ Church Road for an intoxicated driver.

August 21: Staff responded to the 1000 block of Harris Road for a noise violation from loud music, to the 3200 block of Irvington Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 6500 block of Mary Ball Road for a possible intoxicated driver, and to the 100 block of Edgewood Lane for a noise violation from loud music.

August 22: Staff responded to the 3200 block of Crawfords Corner Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 16000 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

Staff also conducted 19 traffic stops, issued 13 summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled two calls for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged four inmate transports, received 10 E911 hang-up calls and fielded five requests for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire department responded to separate vehicle fires at Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads and on North Main Street, a fire/smoke alarm on Shamrock Court, a traffic crash on Mary Ball Road, and, with White Stone VFD, to a traffic crash at Weems and Christ Church roads.
