Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against six individuals.
A Reedville woman, 39, was charged August 21 with failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense.
A Hampton man, 29, was charged August 21 with knowingly attempting to intimidate or impede by threats or by force a law enforcement officer lawfully engaged in their duties, and appearing intoxicated in public.
A Weems man, 35, was charged August 24 with failure to appear for an arraignment on a DWI offense.
An Irvington man, 31, was charged August 24 with knowingly giving a false report as to the commission of a crime to a law enforcement officer with intent to mislead, and driving a vehicle on a highway recklessly so as to endanger the life, limb or property of a person.
A White Stone woman, 35, was charged August 25 with assault and battery of a family member.
A Lancaster man, 37, was charged August 26 with driving while under the influence of alcohol, and driving a vehicle on a roadway that has been divided into clearly marked lanes, failing to drive as nearly as practicable entirely within a single lane.

August 21: Staff responded to the 200 block of Long Lane Farm for possible vandalism, to the 400 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a person making threats to harm others, to the 100 block of Towles Point Road for a reckless driver, to the 100 block of Broadway for a suspicious vehicle, to the 4400 block of Mary Ball Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Little Bay and Mosquito Point roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for an intoxicated person in public.
August 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Catch Penny Lane for vandalism of a motor vehicle, to the 900 block of Johns Neck Road for a burglary and grand larceny of U.S. currency, and to the 10000 block of Lara Road for a downed tree in the roadway.
August 23: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for suspicious activity, to the 2000 block of Mount Olive Road to assist Virginia State Police (VSP) with a wanted person, responded to the report of harassment that occurred at the 4500 block of Windmill Point Road, and to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious vehicle.
August 24: Staff responded to the 800 block of Lumberlost Road for a wanted person, to a walk-in report of fraud that occurred through an online transaction, to the 3500 block of Lara Road for a person with an altered mental status, and to the 200 block of Irvington Road to assist KPD with a disorderly person.
August 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of Virginia Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 100 block of Our Way Drive for vandalism of a motor vehicle, to Mary Ball Road and Whisk Drive for an abandoned vehicle in the roadway, to the 100 block of Richtown Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 100 block of Old Fair Grounds Way for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road for gunshots in the area, to the 100 block of Turner Lane for a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Greenvale Creek Road to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with a medical emergency, and to the 100 block of Entertainment Drive for the report of a trespasser.
August 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road to assist KPD with a disorderly person.
August 27: Staff responded to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a prowler, to River Road for a downed tree in the roadway, to the 100 block of White Chapel Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 100 block of Mulberry Creek Road for a suicidal person, to the 900 block of Clark Point Road to check the welfare of a resident, and to the 300 block of Leetown Road for a disorderly person with a handgun.
Staff also conducted 11 traffic stops, issued five summonses, assisted 11 motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled four calls for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, received 26 E911 hang up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.
Fire calls
The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on North Main Street, a fire/smoke alarm on North Main Street, brush fires on Bel-Mar Way and Ball Lane, with White Stone VFD to an electrical fire on Whitetail Lane, and with Upper Lancaster VFD and White Stone VFD to a structure fire on Pinckardsville Road.
White Stone VFD also responded to a traffic crash on Little Bay Road.
Upper Lancaster VFD also responded to a fire/smoke alarm on River Road, to assist EMS on Greenvale Creek Road, a tree on a power line on Deep Creek Road, an explosion/fire on Myers Creek Road, a fire/smoke alarm on Myers Creek Road, and a power outage on Courthouse Road.
