Sheriff’s Report 09-03-26

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against two individuals.

Felony

Lena June Okun, 41, of Weems was charged August 25 with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, and misdemeanor assault and battery on a family or household member.

Misdemeanor

A Weems man, 26, was charged August 28 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, third offense within five years, refusal to submit breath and/or blood for chemical test, second offense; driving after forfeiture of license, alcohol related; and while operating a motor vehicle on a highway, failure to display headlights.

August 24: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for identity theft.

August 25: Staff responded to the 200 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for threats, and to the 1900 block of Black Stump Road for a disabled vehicle.

August 26: Staff responded to Regina and Davis Mill roads for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud, and to the 300 block of Old Ferry Road for trespassing.

August 27: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for trespassing.

August 28: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a traffic complaint; to the 900 block of Rappahannock Drive for suspicious activity, to the 300 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for threats, to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 1400 block of Browns Lane for a domestic disturbance.

August 29: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Chases Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

August 30: Staff responded to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for a domestic disturbance, to the 5000 block of Windmill Point Road for destruction of property, to the 1100 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 8000 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance.

Staff also conducted 20 traffic stops, issued 14 summonses, assisted four motorist, recorded four deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, processed five mental health orders, logged two inmate transports, received seven E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on Rappahannock Drive.
