Sheriff’s Report 11-03-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported three misdemeanor charges against an individual.

A White Stone man, 60, was charged October 28 with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a blood or breath test; and reckless driving.

Activity report

October 24: Staff responded to the 3700 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

October 25: Staff responded to the 200 block of Rocky Neck Road to assist emergency medical services with a medical emergency, to the 8000 block of River Road for a domestic assault, and to the 100 block of Methodist Church Road for a domestic disturbance.

October 26: Staff responded to the 2500 block of Irvington Road to check the welfare of a resident, to a walk-in report of trespassing that occurred at the 100 block of Rose Drive, to the 8200 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress, to Mary Ball and Harris roads for a three-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Old Fair Grounds Way for a trespasser, to the 7600 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 8800 block of Mary Ball Road for several disorderly juveniles.

October 27: Staff responded to the 300 block of Regina Road for trespassers.

October 28: Staff responded to the 500 block of Mosquito Beach Lane for trespassers, to the 100 block of Holly Haven Road for theft of currency and a vehicle, to the 600 block of Moran Creek Road for construction fraud, to the 300 block of Coppedge Farm Road for an intoxicated driver, to the 1800 block of Windmill Point Road for unsafe use of a firearm, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, and to Windmill Point Road and Dragon Fly Drive for suspicious activity.

October 29: Staff responded to the 800 block of Ivey Creek Road for a trespasser.

October 30: Staff responded to the Norris Bridge for a bar stool in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 500 block of North Main Street for the fraud of an innkeeper, and to the 1600 block of Iberis Road for gunshots in the area.

Staff also conducted 26 traffic stops, issued 23 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded five deer strike accidents, handled seven calls for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received 16 E911 hang up calls and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on North Main Street, separate traffic crashes at Mary Ball and Harris roads and on Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, to a fire/smoke alarm on Bay Court, and with White Stone Volunteer Fire Department to a structure fire on Mosquito Point Road.
