Sheriff’s Report 11-20-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies

Toni Leigh Rash, 34, of Hartfield was charged November 13 with violation of probation on a felony offense on the underlying charge of perjury.

Matthew Lee Abbott, 27, of Lancaster was charged November 14 with strangulation; intentionally destroying, defacing or damaging property with the value such property being $1,000 or more; entering in the nighttime a dwelling house with the intent to commit larceny, assault and battery or a felony other than murder, rape, robbery or arson; assault and battery (misdemeanor); intentionally destroying, defacing or damaging property with the value of such property being less than $1,000 (misdemeanor); and without authority trespassing or remaining upon the property after having been forbidden to do so by an authorized individual (misdemeanor).

Justin Wayne Wilmouth, 28, of Lancaster was charged November 16 with four counts of violation of probation on a felony offense; and violation of probation on a misdemeanor offense.

Misdemeanor

A Heathsville man, 27, was charged November 12 with failure to appear in court on August 25.

November 10: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice.

November 11: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, and to the 300 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for a reckless driver.

November 12: Staff responded to River Road for livestock in the highway, to the 10000 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for fraud, to the 100 block of River Bluff Road for a scam, to Mary Ball Road and Whites Lane for a disabled vehicle, to the 900 block of Peirces Road for trespassing, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 1500 block of Morattico Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of Ocran Road for a vehicle pursuit.

November 13: Staff responded to Irvington Road and Sanders Lane for a reckless driver, to the Norris Bridge for a disabled vehicle, and to the 70 block of Brookvale Lane for a suspicious vehicle.

November 14: Staff responded to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to the 100 block of Sandy Lane for a civil complaint, to Saint Andrews and Waterview Point lanes for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

November 15: Staff responded to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for a domestic disturbance, to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 60 block of Greenwood Court for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 300 block of Sunset Drive for the report of a verbal dispute.

November 16: Staff responded to the 100 block of Kathy Drive for a noise complaint.

November 17: Staff responded to the 400 block of Kamps Mill Road for a suspicious vehicle.

Staff also conducted 21 traffic stops, issued 14 summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded five deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated nine building alarms, logged three inmate transports, received 11 E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate brush fires at 128 Meadowlark Lane and at 2926 Lara Road, a traffic crash at 1563 Morattico Road, and a fire alarm at 974 Paynes Creek Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a propane leak at 80 Irvington Road.
