Sheriffs’ Report 11-26-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against four individuals.

A Lancaster man, 32, was charged November 18 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation for failure to comply with VASAP on the underlying charge of DWI, second offense within 5-10 years.

A Lancaster man, 52, was charged November 19 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A Lancaster woman, 46, was charged November 19 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and pointing, holding or brandishing a firearm.

A White Stone woman, 32, was charged November 20 with failure to appear in court on November 19.

Activity report

November 17: Staff responded to Hoecake Road for a reckless driver, to the 300 block of Weems Road for destruction of property, to the 6000 block of Windmill Point Road for fraud, and to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

November 18: Staff responded to the 90 block of Cow Shed Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for a multiple vehicle traffic crash.

November 19: Staff responded to the 400 block of North Main Street for suspicious activity.

November 20: Staff responded to the 100 block of School Street for a suspicious person, and to Long Lane Farm and Mary Ball roads for a disabled vehicle.

November 21: Staff responded to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Taylors Creek Road for suspicious activity, and to the 50 block of Wishing Well Lane for trespassing.

November 22: Staff responded to West Point Road and Farley Lane for a reckless driver, to Merry Point and Hoecake roads for a hunting game law violation, to the 200 block of White Chapel Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 4000 block of Black Stump Road for a suspicious vehicle.

November 23: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Windmill Point Road for a verbal dispute.

Staff also conducted 21 traffic stops, issued 17 summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded seven deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded seven calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash at 10603 Mary Ball Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 12 individuals.

Felonies

Zachary Mills, 22, of White Stone was charged November 17 with computer solicitation of a minor.

Leonard Leroy Rock III, 34, of Heathsville was charged November 17 with grand larceny of a Harley Davidson enclosed trailer. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Kirk R. Brooks, 64, of Callao was charged November 20 with grand larceny of U.S. currency.   

Misdemeanors

A Burgess man, 36, was charged November 3 with criminal trespassing.

A Callao woman, 63, was charged November 3 with a violation of a protective order. This was a Prince William warrant, served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 27, was charged November 12 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear on original charges of assault and battery and damaging property.

A Lottsburg woman, 63, was charged November 16 with seven counts of criminal trespassing.

A Bridgewater woman, 62, was charged November 17 with issuing a bad check.

A Heathsville woman, 75, was charged November 19 with criminal trespassing.

A Reedville man, 21, was charged November 21 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear on prior charges and two charges of trespassing.

A Richmond man, 36, was charged November 21 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear on failing to pay child support.

A Heathsville man, 62, was charged November 23 with assault and battery.

Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
