Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against eight individuals.
A Callao man, 36, was charged March 23 with failure to appear in court on November 5, 2025, on the underlying charge of driving suspended.
A Weems woman, 28, was charged March 24 with appearing in public in an intoxicated condition.
A Callao man, 38, was charged March 26 with petit larceny.
A Lancaster woman, 22, was charged March 27 with failure to report to probation for intake appointment.
A White Stone man was charged March 28 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath/or blood for chemical test, and consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle upon a highway.
A White Stone man, 32, was charged March 28 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle upon a highway.
A Lancaster woman, 51, was charged March 28 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense.
A Heathsville man, 37, was charged March 29 with non-compliance with Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program/failure to complete substance abuse treatment on the underlying charge of reckless driving.

March 23: Staff responded to the 500 block of Harris Road for a disabled vehicle, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 800 block of Nuttsville Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for threats.
March 24: Staff responded to the 200 block of Greenwood Court for an intoxicated person, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver.
March 25: Staff responded to the 200 block of Steamboat Road for suspicious activity, to Ottoman Ferry Road for a traffic complaint, to the 1400 block of Davis Mill Road for a suspicious person, to Mary Ball Road and A vis Trail for a suspicious person, to the 900 block of Daniel Drive for an adult welfare check, to the 1900 block of Black Stump Road for trespassing, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 300 block of Lumberlost Trail for an adult welfare check, and to Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person.
March 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Kathy Drive for threats, to Old Salem Road for a traffic hazard, to the 300 block of Crawfords Comer Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 10 block of Mars Hill Lane for a domestic disturbance.
March 27: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for downed power lines, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud, to the 300 block of Nugent Lane for a scam, to Ottoman Ferry Road for a traffic hazard, to Waterfront Lane and Greentown Road for a vehicle striking utility power lines, and to the 100 block of Kathy Drive for an adult welfare check.
March 28: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Clover Lane for the report of an adult welfare check.
March 29: Staff responded to the 1600 block of Belle Isle Road for a reckless driver.
Staff also conducted 30 traffic stops, issued 20 summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated nine building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged an inmate transport, received 15 E911 hang up calls, and fielded seven calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a propane leak on River Bluff Road, a brush fire on apple Grove Road and with Kilmarnock VFD to an outbuilding structure fire on Sunset Drive.
Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a gas leak on Old Fair Grounds Way.
Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
