Sheriff’s Report 6-26-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.

Felonies

Steve Deroger Lee Waller Jr., 27, of Kilmarnock was charged June 16 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance.

Denton Behrensen, 33, of Lancaster was charged June 21 with assault and battery a family or household member; abduction and kidnapping; and pointing, holding or brandishing firearm (misdemeanor).

Christopher William Revere, 28, of Weems was charged June 21 with  two counts of abuse and neglect of a child; driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated (misdemeanor); reckless driving by driving a vehicle that was not under proper control on a highway (misdemeanor); driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked (misdemeanor); consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle upon a public highway (summons); expired state registration (summons); expired state inspection (summons); and operation of uninsured motor vehicle (summons).

Misdemeanors

A Weems man, 56, was charged June 16 with violating a provision of a family abuse emergency protective order.

A Weems man, 30, was charged June 16 with appearing in public in an intoxicated condition; obstructing justice; resisting arrest; and disorderly conduct.

A Lancaster man, 35, was charged June 17 with appearing in public in an intoxicated condition; and disorderly conduct.

A White Stone man, 41, was charged June 19 with failing to appear in court on June 17.

A Weems man, 35, was charged June 23 with violating a provision of a family abuse emergency protective order.

Activity report

June 16: Staff responded to the 12000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 1600 block of Windmill Point Road for a noise complaint, to Ocran Road for a traffic complaint, to the 600 block of Paynes Creek Road for a civil complaint, to the 1000 block of Belmont Drive for threats, to the 2000 block of Irvington Road for a verbal dispute, to the 100 block of Peach Tree Lane for destruction of property, to Lumberlost and Taylors Creek roads for a suspicious person.

June 17: Staff responded to the 10 block of Paynes Shop Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 600 block of McSwain Road for an adult welfare check, to the 400 block of South Main Street for a verbal dispute, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a scam.

June 18: Staff responded to the 300 block of Tammy Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for debris in the highway, to the 100 block of Peirces Road for a fight in progress, and to the 200 block of Lovers Lane for suspicious activity.

June 19: Staff responded to the 900 block of Peirces Road for trespassing, to Black Stump Road for a suspicious person, to the 60 block of Beach Creek Road for an adult welfare check, and to Millenbeck Road for a downed tree.

June 20: Staff responded to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for a noise complaint, to Devils Bottom Road for a downed tree,  to the 100 block of Nuttsville Road for a downed tree, to Old Salem Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 4000 block of Irvington Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

June 21: Staff responded to the 10 block of Josh Lane for trespassing, to the 19000 block of Mary Ball Road for trespassing, to the 500 block of Hoecake Road for a verbal dispute, to the 200 block of Merry Point Road for a fight in progress, and to the 200 block of Doggett Lane for suspicious activity.

June 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Myway Lane for trespassing, and to the 1300 block of Weems Road for the violation of an emergency protective order.

Staff also conducted 27 traffic stops, issued eight summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, logged three inmate transports, received nine E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate fire alarm calls at 4394 Bluff Point Road and 257 Landon Hall Lane, and with Upper Lancaster VFD and White Stone VFD to a residential structure fire at 1340 Pinckardsville Road.

Upper Lancaster VFD also responded to an electrical fire at 8612 Mary Ball Road.

White Stone VFD also responded to a traffic crash on Old Salem Road.

Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
