Sheriff’s reports 03-16-23

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against three individuals.

Felony

Deontra Ta-Von Lampkin, 29, of 7725 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway was charged March 12 with three counts of breaking and entering a building with intent to commit larceny; possession of burglarious tools, implements or outfit with the intent to commit burglary, robbery or larceny; intentionally destroying, defacing or damaging property valved at more than $1,000; knowingly and intentionally possessing or transporting ammunition for a firearm after having been convicted of a felony; while being a prisoner in a correctional facility or in the custody of an employee thereof, introducing into a correctional facility or possessing ammunition for firearms; intentionally destroying, defacing or damaging property valued at less than $1,000; and without consent going or entering upon the property of a church or school in the nighttime for a purpose other than attending a meeting or service.

Misdemeanors

A White Stone man, 57, was charged March 7 with appearing intoxicated in public.

A Carlson Store man, 32, was charged March 12 for the violation of, without consent, going or entering upon the property of a church or school in the nighttime for a purpose other than attending a meeting or service.

Activity report

March 6: Staff responded to the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road for a domestic disturbance.

March 7: Staff responded to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for an intoxicated pedestrian, to the 1500 block of Goodluck Road for an abandoned vehicle, to the 100 block of Steamboat Road for a domestic assault involving alcohol, to the 8200 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a suspicious pedestrian, to the 1200 block of Goodluck Road for suspicious activity; and to the 3700 block of Mary Ball Road for a male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle off of the highway.

March 8: Staff responded to the 1000 block of Pinckardsville Road for a downed power line, to a walk-in report of a stolen Beretta handgun, to the 100 block of Marina Road for a reckless driver, to the 100 block of Sandy Lane for a suicide attempt, and to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for a vehicle parked blocking the driveway of a private residence.

March 9: Staff responded to School Street and Irvington Road to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with the report of a reckless driver involved in a verbal disagreement, to the 1400 block of Lumberlost Road for a burglary, to the 2300 block of Windmill Point Road to notify the resident of a fire on their property in Chesterfield County, and to the 15900 block of Mary Ball Road for the report of a trespasser.

March 10: Staff responded to the 400 block of Remo Road to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office with the report of a possible armed robbery, to the 100 block of East Church Street to assist KPD with a burglary, to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for suspicious activity, to the 4900 block of Windmill Point Road for a wanted person out of Hanover County, to the 1300 block of Coxs Farm Road for a traffic crash, to the 700 block of Nuttsville Road for property damage from a vehicle, and to the 10000 block of River Road for a burglary in progress.

March 11: Staff responded to the 600 block of Rapphannock Drive for a person with an altered mental status, to the 900 block of Rappahannock Drive for a burglary, to the 2900 block of White Chapel Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash versus a utility pole, to Mary Ball Road between White Stone and Kilmarnock for a reckless driver, and to the 1400 block of Lumberlost Road for a burglary in progress.

March 12: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 200 block of Greenwood Court to check the welfare of a resident.

Staff also conducted 19 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted five motorists, handled seven calls for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received 18 E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department (WSVFD) responded to a fire/smoke alarm on King Carter Drive. WSVFD also responded with Kilmarnock VFD (KVFD) to a brush fire on Glebe Road.

KVFD also responded to a traffic crash on Coxs Farm Road and a possible gas leak on Jarvis Point Lane.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash on White Chapel Road and to a fire/smoke alarm on Dodson Road.
