Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against seven individuals.
Felonies
Jaquan Marquis Pope, 23, of Weems was charged March 11 with aggravated malicious wounding and assault and battery (misdemeanor) indictment.
Ivonta Nasir Brown, 23, of Warsaw was charged March 12 with abuse and neglect of a child younger than 18, assault and battery (misdemeanor), and transporting a child younger than 8 without a child restraint device (summons).
Bailey Marie Gough, 23, of was charged March 12 with abuse and neglect of a child younger than 18, assault and battery (misdemeanor), and transporting a child younger than 8 without a child restraint device (summons).
Misdemeanors
A Hague woman, 41, was charged March 10 with disorderly conduct on the grounds of a hospital or training center or resisting or interfering with an officer or employee of a hospital or training center in discharge of his duty, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and trespassing.
A Deltaville man, 61, was charged March 13 with non-compliance with Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program with on the underlying charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense.
A Lancaster woman, 31, was arrested charged March 14 with disorderly conduct, trespassing, and two counts of destruction of property.
A Heathsville man, 54, was charged march 15 with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath/or blood for chemical testing, and driving a motor vehicle on a highway without having obtained a driver’s license.

March 9: Staff responded to the 4000 block of Irvington Road for fraud, to the 1100 block of Belmont Drive for credit card fraud, to Lumberlost and Weems roads for a traffic hazard, to the 100 block of Harris Drive for disorderly conduct, and to the 1300 block of lrvington Road for a suspicious vehicle.
March 10: Staff responded to the 100 block of River Bluff Road for an adult welfare check, to the 200 block of Irvington Road for a suspicious person, and to the 11000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver.
March 11: Staff responded to the 100 block of First Street for a suspicious person.
March 12: Staff responded to Shore and Lancaster Creek drives for suspicious activity, to the Robert 0. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Devils Bottom Road for an assault, to Oak Hill Road for downed power lines, and to the 300 block of Windmill Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.
March 13: Staff responded to the 5000 block of White Chapel Road for a suspicious vehicle, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud.
March 14: Staff responded to the 200 block of Marina Road for gunshots, to the 10000 block of Courthouse Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 500 block of Devils Bottom Road for an assault, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, to the 40 block of Levelfields Lane for a suspicious vehicle, and to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for a fight in progress.
March 15: Staff responded to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a traffic hazard, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice.
Staff also conducted 22 traffic stops, issued 15 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a request for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged four inmate transports, received nine E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on River Road.
Kilmarnock VFD responded to a utility line fire/brush fire on East Church Street.
White Stone VFD responded to a traffic crash on Norris Bridge.
