Sheriffs’ Reports 04-01-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.

A White Stone man, 38, was charged March 24 with revocation of a pretrial release.

A Lancaster man, 33, was charged March 25 with trespassing after being forbidden to do so.

A Saluda man, 30, was charged March 28 with revocatio of the suspension of a sentence and probation.

Activity report

March 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Carlee Road for vandalism, to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road to assist the Northumberland County sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with an arrest, to the 700 block of Rappahannock Drive to assist Virginia State Police (VSP) with a vehicle search, to the 200 block of Kathy Drive for the report of a larceny, to the 100 block of Harris Drive for a sexual assault, to the 200 block of Pine Reach Drive to assist NCSO with an alarm call, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for counterfeit money.

March 23: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a person with mental issues, to a walk-in report of trespassing, to the 130 block of Old Salem Road for the theft of household appliances and entry doors, to the 100 block of Pond Park Road to assist VSP with a traffic stop involving several people, and to the 300 block of Hawthorne Avenue to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a trespasser involving alcohol.

March 24: Staff responded to the 100 block of Devils Bottom Road for a juvenile behavior issue, and to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious vehicle.

March 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of Teal Lane for a domestic disagreement, and to a walk-in report of a trespasser.

March 26: Staff responded to the 700 block of Scott Road for property damage from a delivery truck, to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a three-vehicle traffic crash, to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a minor two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 18500 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil issue, to the 200 block of Tyler Lane for a trespasser and to the 100 block of Hatton Avenue to assist emergency medical services with a combative patient.

March 27: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a trespasser, to Windmill Point and Mosquito Point roads for a disabled tractor trailer completely blocking the road, and to the 400 block of East Church Street for a domestic disturbance.

March 28: Staff responded to the 9900 block of Courthouse Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, and to the 300 block of Devil’s Bottom Road for a domestic dispute.

Staff also conducted 10 traffic stops, issued five summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled five calls for traffic control, investigated three building alarms, logged four inmate transports, and received 11 E911 hang-up calls.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Lara Road, a traffic crash at Mary Ball and Regina roads, and another traffic crash and landing zone setup on Mary Ball.

White Stone VFD responded to a camper fire on Greys Point Road and to a fuel spill and traffic control at Windmill Point and Mosquito Point roads.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a lift assistance request on Wiggins Avenue.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 37 individuals.

Felonies

Ronnie Daren Carmine, 49, of Reedville was charged March 2 with felony strangulation and assault and battery.

Dari’k Juane Reed, unknown address, was charged March 3 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury for two counts of feloniously sell and or distribute a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug.

Edward Crowther Barnes II, 42, of Reedville was charged March 5 with strangulation, assault and battery and damaging property.

Kevin Ray Cunningham, 33, of Callao was charged March 6 with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Jacob Lee Waite, 41, of Reedville was charged March 7 with shoplifting, third offense and possession of controlled paraphernalia.

Brandi McGehee, 31, of Callao was charged March 8 with a misdemeanor larceny, third plus offense.

Daniel Lewis Stokes, 34, of Reedville was charged March 9 with two felony counts of failing to register to the Sex Offender and Crimes against Minors Registry. These were VSP warrants served by NCSO.

Jonte Artyne Towles, 25, of Middlesex was charged March 9 on a capias to show cause for a probation violation on an original charge of drug distribution. This was a Northumberland County capias served by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office.

David Troy Ercelino-Dodson, 24, of Weems was charged March 10 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation with the original charge being aggravated sexual battery.

Hugh Douglas Keatts, 40, of Lottsburg was charged March 12 with possession of a Schedule I or II drug and possession of controlled paraphernalia.

Michael Laton Johnson, 29, of Callao was charged March 15 with grand larceny.

Michael Scott Kappet, 54, of Fredericksburg and Heathsville was charged March 16 with obtaining money by false pretenses, grand larceny and failing to perform construction after being given an advance. He also was charged March 20 with felony obtaining money by false pretenses.

Christopher Scott McKinley, 55, of Heathsville was charged March 16 with obtaining money by false pretenses, grand larceny and failing to perform construction after being given an advance. He also was charged March 20 with felony obtaining money by false pretenses.

Trequan Deshay Smith, 19, of Lancaster was charged March 17 with maliciously shooting into an occupied vehicle. He also was charged with shooting from a vehicle and two felony counts of malicious shooting attempts.

Marvin Wendali Davenport Jr., 29, of Heathsville was charged March 17 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation.

Dashuane Jeremiah Smith, 18, of White Stone was charged March 17 with maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle. He also was charged with shooting from a vehicle and three felony counts of malicious shooting attempts.

Kristen Maxine King, 24, of Callao was charged March 19 with breaking and entering and assault and battery.

Quinta D. Bromley, 35, of Heathsville was charged March 20 with threatening bodily harm in writing. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by Hopewell Sheriff’s Office.

Deondre Ta-von Lampkin, 27, of Heathsville was charged March 22 with shoplifting, third-plus offense. This was a warrant out of Spotsylvania County and served by NCSO.

James Benjamin Burt, 27, of Heathsville was charged March 23 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation. This warrant was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).

Brandon Dallas Parker, 30, of Saluda was charged March 28 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation. He was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

Misdemeanors

A Reedville man, 21, was charged March 1 with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear. He was served by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

A Callao man, 43, was charged March 1 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations court for failing to appear.

A Lottsburg man, 38, was charged March 5 with driving on a revoked license, alcohol related.

A Warsaw man, 34, was charged March 5 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville woman, 35, was charged March 5 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Reedville man, 34, was charged March 8 with trespassing after being forbidden to do so.

A Warsaw woman, 38, was charged March 10 on failure to appear in the Richmond County General District Court for the original charge of driving while suspended. NCSO served the warrant.

A Heathsville woman, 23, was charged March 10 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Reedville man, 46, was charged March 11 on a capias to show cause issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court.

A Heathsville man, 38, was charged March 13 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Hague woman, 52, was charged March 15 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for pretrial conditions by receiving new charges. She was served by RCSO.

A Lancaster County man, 33, was charged March 19 with a violation of a protective order, second within five years. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by LCSO.

A Lancaster man, 18, was charged March 22 with carrying a concealed weapon. This was a Northumberland County warrant, served by RCSO.

A Hague man, 29, was charged March 22 with a capias to show cause from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation. He was served by RCSO.

A Warsaw man, 34, was charged March 23 with assault and battery of a family member and brandishing a firearm.

A Heathsville man, 52, was charged March 25 with being drunk in public.
