Sheriffs’ Reports 04-15-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against two individuals.

  A Kilmarnock man, 40, was charged April 8 with assault and battery of a family member and destruction of property valued at less than $1,000.

  A Weems man, 39, was charged April 11 with violating a protective order.

Activity report

April 5: Staff responded to the 200 block of Carters Cove Drive for a noise violation from loud music, to Harris Road and Calvary Lane for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Venable Drive to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a trespasser, to the 18300 block of Mary Ball Road for a noise violation from loud music, to Mary Ball Road in the White Stone area for a reckless driver, and to a walk-in report of the violation of a protective order.

April 6: Staff responded to the 2400 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 300 block of Fleets Bay Road for a trespasser that involved alcohol and a firearm, to the 8300 block of Mary Ball Road for a female walking in the middle of the roadway and appearing to be in distress, to the 500 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for threats made to harm or kill another, and to the 1200 block of Chesapeake Trail for trespassers.

April 7: Staff responded to the 100 block of School Street to assist KPD with a domestic disturbance, to the 1800 block of Windmill Point Road for gunshots, and to the 100 block of First Street for a domestic disturbance that involved a knife.

April 8: Staff responded to Mary Ball Road in the White Stone area for a reckless driver, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way to assist with the report of a disorderly person, and to the 200 block of Campbell Road for a verbal disagreement between previous domestic partners.

April 9: Staff responded to the 1800 block of Rocky Neck Road for a disorderly person and indecent exposure, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for  a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to Wiggins Avenue to assist KPD with a domestic disturbance.

April 10: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for an assault that occurred in the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive, to Slabtown and Myer Creek roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 600 block of Alfonso Road for vandalism of a mailbox, to the 700 block of Saint Andrews Lane for trespassers, to the 9900 block of River Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Hoecake and Kelley Neck Roads for gunshots, to the 2500 block of Windmill Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, to the 600 block of Loblolly Road for a domestic disturbance and destruction of property, and to the Norris Bridge for a hit and run traffic crash.

April 11: Staff responded to a walk-in report of a stolen boat, to the 900 block of Irvington Road for a missing 3-year-old female, to the 100 block of Wesley Terrace for disorderly conduct, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way to assist KPD with a fight in progress, to the 2900 block of Lara Road for suspicious activity, and to the 100 block of Emerald Lane for the unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Staff also conducted 12 traffic stops, issued six summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, investigated a building alarm, logged an inmate transport and received 28 E911 hang-up calls.

Fire calls

The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, with the Upper Lancaster VFD to separate brush fires on Whispering Pine and Pinckardsville roads and with the White Stone VFD to assist in a search for a missing child.

The White Stone VFD also responded to a traffic crash on Windmill Point Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.

Felonies

Kevin W. Thompson, 43, of Reedville was charged April 4 with unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a Schedule I or II drug. He also was charged with possession of controlled paraphernalia.

George Anthony Pizzola II, no age given, of Manassas was charged April 6 with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to be compliant with his pre-trial services by testing positive for drugs and receiving new charges in Prince William County. He was served by the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office.

Misdemeanors

A Warsaw man, 34, was charged March 26 with preventing help/obstructing communication sent through wireless and damaging property. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

A Burgess man, 22, was charged March 29 with assault and battery of a family member. He also was charged with brandishing a firearm and preventing/delaying communication through a telephone.

A North Chesterfield man, 21, was charged March 29 with assault and battery and damaging property.

A Heathsville woman, 50, was charged March 30 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Hague man, 38, was charged April 2 with criminal trespassing, after being forbidden to do so.

A Heathsville man, 57, was charged April 3 with being drunk in public and indecent exposure. He also was charged with possession of alcohol after being interdicted and obstruction of justice.

A Heathsville man, 34, was charged April 5 with reckless driving and damaging property,

A Heathsville man, 53, was charged April 10 with being drunk in public.
