Sheriffs’ Reports 04-30-20

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against six individuals.

A Reedville man, 42, was charged April 20 with a probation violation on a felony offense.

A Lancaster woman, 22, was charged April 20 with revocation of pretrial release on a felony offense.

A Lancaster woman, 42, was charged April 20 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Lancaster woman, 22, was charged April 20 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Lancaster woman, 56, was charged April 23 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Kilmarnock man, 27, was charged April 23 with failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge.

Activity report

April 20: Staff responded to the 100 block of Chase Street for possible prowlers and vandalism, and to the 11000 block of River Road for a domestic assault.

April 21: Staff responded to the 9900 block of Courthouse Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, and to the intersection of St. Andrews and Waterview Point lanes for the report of gunshots.

April 22: Staff responded to the 300 block of Windfall Lane for vandalism, and to the 2300 block of Merry Point Road for a fight in progress.

April 23: Staff responded to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, and to the 200 block of Windfall Lane for a property line dispute.

April 24: Staff responded to the 100 block of Dixie Avenue for a noise violation by loud music, to the 100 block of Chesapeake Drive for larceny of a boat and trailer, to the 900 block of Weems Road for a domestic disturbance, to White Hall Road for a reckless driver driving at night without headlights, and to the 8000 block of River Road for the report of a resident with an altered mental status.

April 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a downed cable line in the highway, to Lancaster and Lively on Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver-high rate of speed, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way for shoplifting, to the 700 block of River Road for a female with an altered mental status, to the 100 block of Harris Road for a mental patient, and to the 400 block of Wilson Lane for a male with an altered mental status armed with a knife.

April 26: Staff responded to the 700 block of Millenbeck Road for possible sexual assault of a juvenile, to the 100 block of Skye Drive for larceny of a package out of a mailbox, and to the 1000 block of White Chapel Road for the report of male shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Staff also conducted three traffic stops, assisted two motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, investigated three building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received 11 E911 hang-up calls, and handled two calls for animal control service.

Fire callsThe White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Irvington Road.

The Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash on Courthouse Road.

The Kilmarnock VFD responded to a lift assistance request on Wiggins Avenue and a traffic crash at Apple Grove and Shiloh Church roads.

EMS calls

For April 19-25, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 29 calls, including 16 medical emergencies, four injuries, a traffic accident, a fire and seven other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies

Antonio Javon Morris, 34, was charged April 21 with selling/distributing a Schedule I or II drug.

Joe Hubbard Humphreys Jr., 50, of White Stone was charged April 21 with obtaining money by false pretenses.

Robert Vernette Campbell, 58, of Lancaster was charged April 23 with soliciting child porn, and seven counts of using a computer to commit sex offenses with minors.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 55, was charged April 23 with dumping trash on a public highway.
