Sheriffs’ Reports 07-28-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.

An Irvington man, 70, was charged July 18 with appearing intoxicated in public.

A Lancaster man, 36, was charged July 22 with appearing intoxicated in public.

A Rockwood, Md., man, 38, was charged July 23 with appearing intoxicated in public.

Activity report

July 18: Staff responded to Johns Neck Road for an unlicensed juvenile riding a motorcycle on the highway, to the 400 block of Old Saint Johns Road for theft of a Kubota tractor with a bush hog, to Johns Neck Road for two 4 wheelers and a dirt bike on the public highway, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a suicidal person, and to the 800 block of King Carter Drive for an intoxicated person in public.

July 19: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for a person with an altered mental status, to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Comanche Lane to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with a domestic disturbance, to Weems and Christ Church roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 300 block of Hawthorne Avenue to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with an intoxicated driver.

July 20: Staff responded to Windmill Point Road and Brightwaters Drive for a downed tree in the roadway.

July 21: Staff responded to the 100 block of Rose Drive for a person with an altered mental status, to the 100 block of Entertainment Drive for a wanted person, to the 200 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for suspicious activity, to the 1500 block of Avis Trail for suspicious activity, and to Lancaster for the report of a verbal disagreement.

July 22: Staff responded to the 500 block of Rappahannock Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 5200 block of Mary Ball Road for suspicious activity, to the 300 block of Wilson Lane for a verbal disagreement, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way to assist KPD for with a disorderly person, to the 1300 block of Shore Drive for a domestic assault, and to the 500 block of Irvington Road for a wanted person.

July 23: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Harris roads for a suspicious person walking in the roadway, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a noise violation from loud music, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for an intoxicated and disorderly person, and to the 300 block of Jeffrey Avenue to check the welfare of a resident.

July 24: Staff responded to the 100 block of Millenbeck Road for a wanted person, to the 500 block of Boys Camp Road for suspicious activity, and to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for an occupied suspicious vehicle.

Staff also conducted 16 traffic stops, issued eight summonses, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a call for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received 20 E911 hang up calls, and fielded a call for animal control.

Fire calls

The White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash at Weems and Christ Church roads.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to separate traffic crashes on North Main Street and Mary Ball and Goodluck roads.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm at Granville Bay.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 16 individuals.

Felonies

Mary Lawana Knight Harbin, 56, of Reedville was charged July 6 with felony assault and battery of a law enforcement officer and three counts of damaging property.

Teresa Renea Kimble, 37, of Heathsville was charged July 13 on a capias issued by the Richmond County Circuit Court for a probation violation on the original charges of attempted delivery of drugs to an incarcerated prisoner.

Laura Michelle Heywood, 38, of Warsaw was charged on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to comply with the terms of her probation.

Chasity Ann Crockett, 38, of Colonial Beach was charged July 15 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to comply with the terms of her probation. She was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).

Clifton Tomlin, 67, of Burgess was charged July 20 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for violating his probation on original charges of petit larceny and distribution of Schedule I/II drugs. He was served by the RCSO.

Kai Robert Renton, 32, of Heathsville was charged July 23 on a felony warrant of failing to perform construction after an advance was given. This was a Richmond County warrant served by the NCSO.

Riley Hudson Sanford, 26, of Heathsville was charged July 24 with abduction by force and assault and battery of a family member.

Misdemeanors

A New York man, 45, was charged July 1 with disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and damaging property. Two summons were also issued for being drunk in public and illegally dumping trash on a highway.

A Heathsville man, 49, was charged July 1 with two count of animal cruelty, two counts of failing to vaccinate and two counts of no dog licenses for his animals.

A Heathsville woman, 41, was charged July 1 with two counts of animal cruelty, two counts of failing to vaccinate and two counts of no dog licenses for her animals.

A Reedville woman, 56, was charged July 3 with driving under the influence of alcohol.

A Reedville woman, 40, was charged July 6 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear.

A Heathsville man, 32, was charged July 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of the breath test.

A Callao woman, 48, was charged July 16 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear.

A Callao man, 28, was charged July 21 with 10 counts of animal cruelty/deprivation. He also was charged on summons for 10 counts of failing to vaccinate and no dog licenses.

A Callao woman, 26, was charged July 21 with 10 counts of animal cruelty/deprivation. She also was charged on summons for 10 counts of failing to vaccinate and no dog licenses.
