Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against an individual.
A Weems woman, 28, was charged August 11 with failure to appear in court.

August 7: Staff responded to the 100 block of Castle Lane to check the welfare of a resident, to the 200 block of Rocky Neck Road for a domestic disturbance and vandalism of a motor vehicle, to the 3400 block of White Chapel Road for stolen license plates, and to the 3600 block of Black Stump Road to check the welfare of a resident.
August 8: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for suspicious activity, to the 400 block of White Chapel Road for a wanted person, to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a minor two-vehicle accident on private property, to the 1800 block of Irvington Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Windmill Point for a reckless driver, to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for a reckless driver, and to Crawfords Corner Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash versus a tree with injuries.
August 9: Staff responded to the 100 block of Castle Lane to check the welfare of a resident, to the 400 block of Buzzards Neck Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 2200 block of Weems Road for a possible burglary, and to the 2400 block of Morattico Road for a domestic disturbance.
August 10: Staff responded to Windmill Point Road for a suspicious vehicle, to River Road in Bertrand for trespassers, to the 4300 block of Irvington Road for a hit and run traffic crash, to the 18700 block of Mary Ball Road for a trespasser, to the 5300 block of Irvington Road for trespassers, and to Mary Ball and Old Salem roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash versus a power pole and power lines down in the highway.
August 11: Staff responded to the 400 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a trespasser, to Mary Ball and Morattico roads for an abandoned vehicle in the roadway, to the 100 block of River Bluff Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 100 block of Wesley Terrace for a domestic disturbance, and to the 1300 block of Harris Road for a suspicious vehicle.
August 12: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Harris roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Dock Road for a minor vehicle accident on private property, to the 4900 block of Windmill Point Road for a wanted person, and to Taylor Creek Road for a suspicious vehicle.
August 13: Staff responded to the 2700 block of Irvington Road for a person with an altered mental status, to Mary Ball and River roads for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Turner Lane to check the welfare of a juvenile.
Staff also conducted 14 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted four motorists, handled three calls for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, processed a mental health order, received 24 E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Crawfords Corner Road and to a fire/smoke alarm on Courthouse Road.
Kilmarnock VFD responded to fire/smoke alarms on Kinlock Avenue and Old Fairgrounds Way and with White Stone VFD to power lines down in the highway at Old Salem and Mary Ball roads.
White Stone VFD also responded to the smell of propane on Gordon Drive.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.
Felonies
Bertrum Anthony Conaway, 64, of Heathsville was charged August 8 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to comply with his probation.
Myshaun Tihee Porter, 24, of Burgess was charged August 8 with abduction and possession of a firearm by a non-violent felon. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).
Lakeena Onay Noel, 23, of Heathsville was charged August 8 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for two counts of not notifying the department of social services in reference to changes in income, a false application (perjury) and welfare fraud over $200. She was served by the RCSO.
Markeia T. Barbee, 19, of Richmond was charged August 11 with malicious wounding. This was a Northumberland County warrant, served by the Richmond City Police Department.
Eddie Lee Gallagher, 48, of Crew was charged August 12 with possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a hit and run. These were Essex County warrants, served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Gallagher also was served a capias to show cause issued by the Nottoway County Circuit Court for failing to report to jail on original charges of driving on a suspended license and third DUI in 10 years.
Misdemeanors
A Farnham man, 48, was charged August 9 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to obey a court order for child support.
A Lottsburg woman, 25, was charged August 9 on capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to obey a court order by not reporting to VASAP on an original charge of DUI. She was served by the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
A Heathsville woman, 37, was issued a summons August 9 for assault and battery.
A Heathsville man, 41, was issued a summons August 9 for abusive language.
A Lancaster woman, 40 was charged August 10 on a summons for assault and battery. This was a Northumberland County summons, served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
