Sheriffs’ Reports 08-25-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felony

Briyanna Michelle Crabb, 20, of Weems was charged August 17 with two counts of embezzlement of funds/goods valued at over $1,000, and eight counts of embezzlement of funds/goods valued at less than $1,000.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster woman, 45, was charged August 17 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Farnham man, 37, was charged August 17 with failure to appear in court.

A Kilmarnock woman, 51, was charged August 18 with 10 counts of stealing merchandise/goods valued at less than $1,000, and three counts of shoplifting goods/merchandise valued under $1,000.

Activity report

August 15: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a disabled truck blocking traffic, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 700 block of Goodluck Road for a possible suicidal person, and to the 300 block of Chase Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a burglary in progress.

August 16: Staff responded to Old Ferry Road for an abandoned vehicle, to 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for two dogs left in a hot vehicle, and to the 100 block of Cowshed Road for a domestic assault by a person with an altered mental status.

August 17: Staff responded to the 700 block of Johns Neck Road for an abandoned trailer parked in the roadway, and to Jessie duPont Memorial Highway and Morattico Church Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

August 18: Staff responded to the 300 block of Oak Farm Road for vandalism of property, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the roadway, to the 9200 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 900 block of Ocran Road for identity theft to obtain prescription narcotics, to Old Bethel and White Chapel roads for suspicious activity, to the 200 block of East Church Street to assist KPD with several trespassers, to the 100 block of Wharton Grove for a disorderly intoxicated person, and to White Chapel and Courthouse roads for an abandoned vehicle in the roadway.

August 19: Staff responded to the 11700 block of Mary Ball Road for vandalism of a mailbox, to the 100 block of Turner Lane for vandalism of a vehicle and theft of a speaker box, to the 3200 block of Irvington Road to assist emergency medical services with a highly intoxicated person, and to the 100 block of Harris Road for a possible suicidal person.

August 20: Staff responded to the 100 block of White Pine Drive for a disabled vehicle in the roadway, to the 500 block of Southport Lane for a domestic assault involving weapons, to the 2700 block of Weems Road for a vehicle stuck in a ditch causing a traffic hazard, and to the 1400 block of Avis Trail for the report of a domestic assault with serious injury.

August 21: Staff responded to Mary Ball Road in White Stone for a reckless driver, to the 4100 block of Mary Ball Road for trespassers, to the 100 block of Catch Penny Lane for vandalism of vehicle tires, to the 9000 block of River Road to check the welfare of a juvenile, and to the 100 block of School Street to assist KPD with a domestic disturbance involving alcohol.

Staff also conducted 11 traffic stops, issued eight summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a call for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, logged four inmate transports, received 18 E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to an electrical fire on River Road, and established a landing zone on Mary Ball Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on South Main Street, a traffic crash on Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, and with White Stone VFD to a structure fire on Fox Hill Drive and a fire/smoke alarm on Irvington Farm Road.

White Stone VFD responded to fire/smoke alarms on King Carter Drive and on Teal Drive, and a marsh fire on Windmill Point Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 12 individuals.

Felonies

Donovan Patrick Flaherty, 36, of Heathsville was charged August 1 with three felony counts of injuring the health of a child while in one’s custody. These were Stafford County warrants served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Vincent O’Neal Noel, 40, of Burgess was charged August 3 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Spotsylvania County General District Court for failing to obey a pre-trial court order on original charges of possession of a Schedule I/II drug.

Cedric Kurt Harding, 41, of Heathsville was charged August 8 with breaking and entering a residence with intent to commit a larceny.

Kendrick Larmar Diggs, 31, of Lancaster was charged August 11 with felony disregard of a law enforcement command, and possession of a firearm after being convicted of a violent crime. He also was issued a show cause summons for failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court for charges of driving revoked and trespassing. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Page Randolph Stoner, 60, of Kinsale was charged August 19 with possession of a firearm by conviction of a violent felon. She also was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and pointing/brandishing a firearm. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Donte Jevon Carter, 38, of Heathsville was charged August 21 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for driving under the influence of alcohol, with a prior related felony conviction.

Misdemeanors

A Stephenson man, 46, was charged August 5 with assault and battery of a family member. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 34, was charged August 6 on a summons for criminal trespassing.

A Heathsville woman, 42, was charged August 8 with petit larceny of a street sign.

A Kinsale woman, 60, was charged August 11 with assault and battery of a family member. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Callao man, 21, was charged August 17 with assault and battery and damaging property.

A Callao woman, 47, was charged August 18 with assault and battery.
