Sheriffs’ Reports 11-10-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felony

Tyone Michael Waddy, 43, of 254 Lampkintown Road, Burgess, was charged November 6 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle valued more than $1000, four counts of probation violation on a felony offense and stealing merchandise valued less than $1000.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville woman, 21, was charged October 31 with contempt of court: failure to appear.

A Lancaster man, 31, was charged November 2 with contempt of court: disobeying process, judgement, etc.

A Weems woman, 44, was charged November 6 with shoplifting/altering price/concealing goods valued under $1000, petit larceny valued less than $1000 and obstructing/resisting arrest without threats or force.

A Williamsburg man, 44, was charged November 6 with failure to appear on a traffic summons.

Activity report

October 31: Staff responded to the 100 block of Wharton Grove Lane to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with a fall victim, to the 400 block of Mosquito Point Road for a wanted person, to the 100 block of First Avenue for a wanted juvenile, to the 300 block of James B. Jones Memorial Highway to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a domestic assault, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a large box in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, and to the 4400 block of Irvington Road for the report of speeders during trick or treat hours.

November 1: Staff responded to the 400 block of Holly Haven Road to assist EMS with entry into a residence after receiving the report of a medical alarm activation, to the 300 block of Ivey Creek Road for a person with an altered mental status, and to the 1400 block of Goodluck Road for a suspicious person.

November 2: Staff responded to the 100 block of Greentown Road for gunshots in the area, to the Norris Bridge for a board in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 100 block of School Street to assist KPD with a possible suicidal person.

November 3: Staff responded to the 500 block of Devils Bottom Road for littering, to the 3200 block of White Chapel Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 100 block of Youcomico Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to Christ Church and Gaskins roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Old Fair Grounds Way to assist KPD with a trespasser, to the 100 block of Twin Branch Road for a wanted person, and to a walk-in report of a person with an altered mental status.

November 4: Staff responded to the 300 block of Beach Road for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol, to the 100 block of West Point Road for trespassers, to the 400 block of Lumberlost Road for a domestic disturbance, to the White Stone area on Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver.

November 5: Staff responded to the 1900 block of White Chapel Road for a suspicious person, to Rocky Neck Road and Fairweather Lane for dumping of solid waste, to Mary Ball and Old Salem roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash with minor injuries, to the 200 block of Old Fair Grounds Way to assist KPD with a disorderly person, to the 4300 block of Irvington Road for a minor vehicle crash on private property, to the 200 block of Carters Cove Drive for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Irvington Road to assist KPD with the investigation of a reported larceny, to the 6700 block of Mary Ball Road for a ladder in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Whisk Drive to assist White Stone Fire Department with a fire alarm in a commercial building, to the 8200 block of Mary Ball Road for the report of law enforcement assistance needed to restrain a combative inmate.

November 6: Staff responded to the 100 block of Heron Lane to assist EMS with entry into a residence after receiving a report of a fall victim, to the 1000 block of Goodluck Road for a vehicle left on property after hours that is gated, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way to assist KPD with a shoplifter, also wanted in several jurisdictions on felony warrants.

Staff also conducted 23 traffic stops, issued 19 summonses, recorded four deer strike accidents, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received 16 E911 hang up calls and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate fire/smoke alarm calls on Gran Ville Drive and School Street.

White Stone VFD responded to a traffic crash at Christ Church and Gaskin roads and a fire/smoke alarm on Whisk Drive.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against nine individuals.

Felonies

Wesley Randall Tinsley, 44, of Hampton was charged October 25 with failing to perform construction after receiving an advance and obtaining monies by false pretense. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the York-Poquoson County Sheriff’s Office.

Angela Diane Vaughn, 51, of Lottsburg was charged October 25 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for the original charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Jonathan O’Neal Veney, 35, of Heathsville was charged October 27 with breaking and entering and assault and battery.

Thomas William Newton, 54, of Heathsville was charged October 28 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for the charge of being a violent felon possessing/transporting a weapon. This was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).

Tyrone Noel Samuel, 51, of Warsaw was charged October 28 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for aggravated murder during a rape. This was served by RCSO.

David Conway Wimer, 34, of Reedville was charged November 3 with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Trent Jose Green Jr., 32, of Kilmarnock was charged November 4 with grand larceny for stealing a vehicle valued at more than $1000. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Corey Tirrell Carter, 40, of Reedville was charged November 6 with forgery on a bank bill. A summons also was issued for forgery and having more than 10 forged bank bills.

Misdemeanor

A Farnham woman, 52, was charged October 31 with driving on a revoked license, alcohol related.
