Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against nine individuals.
Felonies
Alkendra Shatoye Coleman, 33, of Lancaster was charged November 11 for violation of revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on a felony offense for the underlying charge of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance.
Kionte Richon Walters, 34, of Lancaster was charged November 11 with failure to appear in court on a felony offense October 25, revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on a felony offense for the underlying charge of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance; fail to appear in court for trial on November 6 for the underlying misdemeanor charge of destruction of property.
Ernest Oneil Kelly, male, 44, of Lancaster was charged November 12 with maliciously shooting, stabbing, cutting or wounding with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill where the victim was thereby injured and was caused to suffer permanent and significant physical impairment; and use, attempt to use or display in a threatening manner a firearm or attempting to commit aggravated malicious wounding.
Charley Lewis Riley, male, 33, of 487 Syringa Road, Topping, was arrested November 12 with disregarding a signal by law enforcement officer to stop, eluding police (felony); reckless driving (misdemeanor); expired Virginia State Inspection (summons); display of license plates (summons) and fail to yield right-of-way (summons). These were Middlesex County warrants served by Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
Misdemeanors
A Lancaster woman, 31, was charged November 10 with trespassing.
A Kilmarnock man, 32, was charged November 13 with a Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program violation for the underlying charge of driving while under the influence, first offense.
A Lancaster woman, 57, was charged November 15 with driving or operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, after being convicted of a like offense within five years of this violation.
A Lancaster woman, 52, was charged November 15 with stealing property valued at less than $1,000.
A White Stone man, 64, was charged November 16 with driving or operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, after being convicted of a like offense within five-10 years of this violation.
Activity report
November 10: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a reckless driver, and to the Norris Bridge for a disabled vehicle.
November 11: Staff responded to the 100 block of First Street for destruction of property, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 1000 block of Devils Bottom Road for a larceny, to Iberis Road for a traffic hazard, and to the 100 block of First Street for a neighbor dispute.
November 12: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Chases roads for debris in the highway, to White Chapel and Old Bethel roads for a downed tree, and to the 1800 block of Windmill Point Road for a domestic disturbance.
November 13: Staff responded to the 4000 block of Irvington Road for a suspicious person, to the 100 block of School Street for a hit and run vehicle accident, to the 100 block of Peirces Road for a suspicious person, to the 400 block of Rappahannock Drive for loitering, to Rappahannock and Chesapeake drives for loitering, and to the 300 block of Old Ferry Road for trespassing.
November 14: Staff responded to the 80 block of Washington Street for a verbal dispute, to the 700 block of Peake Road for an adult welfare check, to a walk-in report of a custody dispute and request for a protective order, to the 400 block of Lancaster Creek Drive to assist Social Services with a child custody issue, to the 10200 block of Ridge Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol, to the 100 block of Emerald Lane for a possible stolen vehicle, and to the 100 block of Pine Place for a disturbance involving neighbors.
November 15: Staff responded to the 8100 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-overturned vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Turner Lane for a sudden death, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a trespasser.
November 16: Staff responded to the 100 block of Irvington for a possible intoxicated driver, to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with a fight in progress, to the 100 block of Pine Place for trespassers, to Weems and Irvington roads for a traffic hazard from an animal carcass, and to the 5400 block of River Road for a traffic hazard from an animal carcass.
Staff also conducted 19 traffic stops, issued eight summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded seven deer strike accidents, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, logged one inmate transport, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Mary Ball Road.
White Stone VFD responded to separate traffic crashes on Hawthorne Avenue and at Chesapeake Drive and Beach Road, and with Kilmarnock VFD to a structure fire on Ocran Road.
Kilmarnock VFD also responded to separate fire/smoke alarm calls on North Main Street and Bluff Point road.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.
Felony
Patrick Gordon Toth, 37, of Heathsville was charged November 13 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for six counts of indecent acts with a child 13 or younger, one count of intercourse with a child under the age of 13 and using an object for sex on a child 13 or younger. He was arrested by the Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office.
Misdemeanors
A Lottsburg man, 68, was charged November 4 with assault and battery.
A Lancaster man, 32, was charged November 4 with violating a protective order. This was a Lancaster County warrant served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
A Reedville man, 43, was charged November 8 with damaging property and petit larceny.
A Reedville woman, 42, was charged November 8 with damaging property. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
A Heathsville woman, 44, was charged November 13 with assault and battery.
A Farnham woman, 54, was charged November 13 with assault and battery.
A Montross woman, 35, was charged November 13 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office.
A Reedville woman, 22, was charged November 10 with driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense.
A Washington, Md., man, 24, was charged November 15 with being drunk in public.
