Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.
A Christopher Drive man, 37, was charged February 26 with assault and battery of a family member.
A School Street woman, 29, was charged February 27 with two counts of contempt of court.
A Christopher Drive man, 37, was charged March 4 with violating a protective order.

February 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Pembroke Lane for a prowler, to the 100 block of Jeffrey Drive to investigate an unattended death, to a walk-in report of vandalism and theft of property in the 13000 block of Mary Ball Road, to Devils Bottom and Merry Point for unauthorized use of a vehicle, to Goodluck Road for suspicious persons, to the 100 block of Harris Drive for a disorderly mental patient, and to the 11000 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance.
February 27: Staff responded to the 100 block of Chesapeake Drive for a domestic assault, to Merry Point and Hoecake roads for disorderly conduct and blocking the public highway, and to the 3000 block of Regina Road for a fight in progress.
February 28: Staff responded to responded to Black Stump Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, to the 100 block of Senora Road for recovery of possible stolen jewelry, to the 1700 block of Windmill Point Road for a minor two-vehicle traffic crash, to Mary Ball Road area near the Robert O. Norris Bridge Jr. Memorial Bridge for a traffic hazard.
March 1: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Lara Road for an abandoned vehicle, and to Buzzards Neck for juveniles throwing objects at passing vehicles.
March 2: Staff responded to more than 55 weather-related calls from Storm Riley, to the intersection of Mary Ball and White Chapel roads for a single-vehicle crash into a commercial building, to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Pirates Place for a stolen vehicle, and to the 1500 block of Pinkardsville Road for a domestic assault.
March 3: Staff responded to the 4200 block of Mary Ball Road for possible child endangerment, to a walk-in report of the theft of a wallet in the 10000 block of River Road, to the 2500 block of Irvington Road for the theft of heating oil, and to the 100 block of School Street for suspicious persons looking into vehicles.
March 4: Staff responded to the 100 block of Pirates Place for stolen U.S. Currency, and to the 700 block of Sage Hill Road for a domestic disturbance.
Staff also conducted 10 traffic stops, issued two summonses, assisted six motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled four calls for traffic control, investigated 11 building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received two E911 hang-up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control.
Fire calls
The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate traffic crashes on Bluff Point Road, Devils Bottom Road and Kinlock Avenue; downed power lines at Bluff Point and Jarvis roads, and separate brush fires on Boys Camp Road and Bluff Point Road.
Kilmarnock VFD also responded with Upper Lancaster VFD to a vehicle and brush fire on Vale Lane, and with White Stone VFD to a structure fire on Berrywood Lane.
Upper Lancaster VFD responded to separate brush fires on Old Orchard Road and Lara Road, and to downed power lines on Buzzards Neck Road and on Regina Road.
White Stone VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Whisk Drive, a traffic hazard-truck on the Norris Bridge, and downed power lines on Rappahannock Drive and Crab Point Road.
EMS calls
For the week of February 25 through March 3, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 47 calls for service including 21 medical emergencies, three injuries, five traffic accidents, 11 fire calls and seven other calls.
Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported misdemeanor charges against four individuals.
A Heathsville man, 36, was charged February 26 with driving suspended/revoked, third time offense.
A Heathsville man, 29, was charged March 4 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license. He was also charged with reckless driving and refusal of the breath test.
An Aylett man, 19, was charged March 4 with driving after illegally consuming alcohol, being under the age of 21. He also was charged with possession of marijuana and reckless driving.
A Heathsville man, 47, was charged March 4 with driving under the influence of alcohol, refusing the breath test and failing to dim headlights.
