Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against three individuals.

Felony

William O. Jones, 45, of Reynolds Farm Road was charged May 10 with felony revocation of a suspended sentence and probation.

Misdemeanors

A Meadowlark Lane man, 42, was charged May 7 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Chewnings Ferry Road man, 45, was charged May 8 with assault and battery.

Activity report

May 7: Staff responded to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for a possible disorderly person, to the 2900 block of Devils Bottom Road for illegal dumping of debris, to the 400 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for vandalism of a dwelling, to the 5700 block of Mary Ball Road for a possible burglary, and to the 100 block of Landsend East Drive to provide lift assistance for a reported medical issue.

May 8: Staff responded to the 2200 block of River Road for a report of obtaining money by false pretenses and grand larceny, to the 100 block of Galley Hook Drive for larceny of construction materials, and to the 12200 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal disagreement.

May 9: Staff responded to the 100 block of School Street for a possible suicidal person, to the 2900 block of Lara Road for an assault, and to the 400 block of Greentown Road for a domestic disturbance with weapons.

May 10: Staff responded to 5200 block of Mary Ball Road for theft of a vehicle, to the 100 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a suspicious/disorderly person, to the 100 block of Cottonwood Lane for a person with mental issues, and to Monaskon Road for a downed tree causing a traffic hazard.

May 11: Staff responded to the 500 block of Gaskins Road for a suspicious vehicle, and to Waverly Avenue for an auto theft.

May 12: Staff responded to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a trespasser.

May 13: Staff responded to North Main Street for a reckless driver, to Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 200 block of Christopher Drive to assist KPD with a domestic disturbance.

Staff also conducted 10 traffic stops, issued two summonses, assisted 10 motorists, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged six inmate transports, received 11 E911 hang-up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Harpers Creek Drive.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a lift assistance request on Merry Point Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Goodluck Road and with Upper Lancaster VFD to a traffic crash on Mary Ball Road.

EMS calls

For the week of May 6-12, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 54 calls for service including 24 medical emergencies, 10 injuries, a traffic accident, two fires and 17 other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against 21 individuals.

Felonies

Jonathan A. Towles, 20, of Lancaster was charged April 30 with two felony counts of assaulting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. He also was charged with purchasing/possession of alcohol under the age of 21. A capias/attachment of the body also was issued from the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to obey a court order. Towles also was charged with being drunk in public.

Purcell Elwood Noel, 51, of Burgess was charged May 1 on a direct indictment from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with two counts of feloniously selling/distributing a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug.

William Thomas Beck III, 67, of Reedville was charged May 1 on a direct indictment from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana without a prescription.

Troy Lamont Carter, 37, of Lottsburg was charged May 2 on a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with two felony counts of selling/distribution of marijuana and three felony counts of selling/distributing a substance, namely a Schedule II drug.

Byron Scot Hydrusko, 34, of Heathsville was charged May 3 on a direct indictment from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug, and felony possession with intent to distribute more than ½ ounce of marijuana. He also was charged with a felony possession of a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug while possessing a firearm. In addition, he was charged with three misdemeanors of possession of a controlled substance, namely a Schedule IV drug.

Levaughn Laffiama Seldon, 30, of Callao was charged May 6 on a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with feloniously selling/distributing a controlled substance, namely a Schedule II drug.

Andrea Bowen Landman, 35, of Callao was charged May 7 on a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with feloniously selling/distributing a controlled substance, namely a Schedule III drug.

Lasandra Machelle Davis, 28, of Heathsville was charged May 8 on a direct indictment from the Gloucester County Circuit Court with making a false statement on a criminal history consent form, being a subject of a protective order and trying to purchase a gun. This was served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

William O’Brian Jones, 45, of Callao was charged May 10 on a capias to show cause by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to obey a court order after being found guilty of a felony charge. This capias was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster County man, 24, was charged May 2 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court on a driving while revoked.

A Callao woman, 23, was charged May 2 on a capias/attachment of the body for failing to obey a no contact order. This was served by the Virginia State Police.

A Callao woman, 44, was charged May 3 with damaging property.

A Burgess man, 19, was charged May 4 on a direct indictment from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with selling/distributing less than ½ ounce of marijuana.

A Reedville woman, 25, was charged May 4 on a direct indictment from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with unlawfully selling ½ ounce or less of marijuana.

A Heathsville man, 53, was charged May 6 with damaging property.

A Lottsburg woman, 36, was charged May 7 with assault and battery.

A Kilmarnock man, 27, was charged May 8 on a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury with three counts of unlawfully selling/distributing less than ½ ounce of marijuana.

A Heathsville woman, 58, was charged May 9 with assault and battery.

A Lottsburg woman, 40, was charged May 9 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court on an original charge of reckless driving.

A Lottsburg man, 31, was charged May 10 on a capias/attachment of the body from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court with violating his pre-trial services to remain drug free.

An Annandale man, 35, was charged May 11 with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and refusal of a breath test.
