Sheriffs’ Reports 6-20-19

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against seven individuals.

A Lancaster man, 81, was charged June 10 with indecent exposure.

A Kilmarnock man, 41, was charged June 10 with use of profane language over the telephone.

A Weems man, 24, was charged June 11 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Lancaster man, 22, was charged June 11 with trespassing after being forbidden to do so.

A Lancaster woman, 32, was charged June 12 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Lancaster man, 35, was charged June 12 with assault and battery of a family member, third offense.

A Lancaster man, 26, was charged June 12 with assault and battery of family member and brandishing a machete or bladed weapon.

Activity report

June 10: Staff responded to the 100 block of Gill Road for a trespasser, to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another, to the 600 block of Johns Neck Road for a trespasser, to Shore Drive for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Bar Neck Lane for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol.

June 11: Staff responded to the 500 block of Gaskins Road for a domestic disturbance, to a walk-in report of a theft of property, to the 100 block of School Street to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with threats made to harm another, to the 300 block of White Hall Road for a fight in progress, to the 1600 block of Morattico Road for a domestic assault, and to the 13200 block of Mary Ball Road for threats made to harm another with a weapon involved.

June 12: Staff responded to the 100 block of Scott Road for a disorderly person, to the 100 block of James B. Jones Memorial Highway for a traffic crash involving a vehicle versus a bicyclist, to the 100 block of Washington Street for a disorderly person, and to Deep Harbor and Cow Shed roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries.

June 13: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris on the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 900 block of Flowering Fields for a trespasser, to the 4200 block of Lara Road for the theft of auto parts, and to the 100 block of First Street for larceny of an iPad.

June 14: Staff responded to Methodist Church Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 8400 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress, to the 100 block of Joyful Way for a juvenile behavioral issue, and to the 100 block of Monument Place to assist the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office with a large fight in progress involving alcohol.

June 15: Staff responded to Carlson Road for a downed tree blocking the roadway, to the 100 block of The Pony Pasture for the report of a possible burglary in progress, to the Haynesville Correctional Center to assist the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office with security after receiving a report of eight inmates overdosed on narcotics.

June 16: Staff responded to the 2500 block of Merry Point Road for several vehicles parked in the roadway, to a walk-in report of a child custody issue, to the 1600 block of Windmill Point Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious person, to the 200 block of Boles Avenue for a domestic assault, and to the 3100 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic disturbance.

Staff also conducted 67 traffic stops, issued 41 summonses, assisted eight motorists, recorded seven deer strike accidents, handled five calls for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, logged five inmate transports, received six E911 hang-up calls and fielded five calls for animal control service.

Lancaster fire calls

The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Jessie duPont Memorial Highway and to a fire/smoke alarm on Fleets Bay Road.

The Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash on Cow Shed Road.

The White Stone VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Clark Point Drive and to a cook stove fire on Long Cove Lane.

Lancaster EMS calls

For June 9-15, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 39 calls for service, including 20 medical emergencies, seven injuries, three traffic accidents, a fire and eight other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against 12 individuals.

Felonies

Tyrese Deshawn Samuel, 20, of North Chesterfield was charged June 8 with malicious shooting at a dwelling, brandishing a firearm and reckless handling of a firearm. He was additionally charged with possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

William Samuel Diller, 28, of Hague was charged June 14 with a show cause regarding bond for failing to obey a court order.

Aleta Teresa White, 54, of Heathsville was charged June 14 with violating a protective order.

Misdemeanors

A North Chesterfield man, 48, was charged June 5 with failure to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court for an original charge of possession of marijuana, third offense. He was arrested by the Henrico Police Department.

A Richmond man, 21, was charged June 8 with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

A Burgess man, 55, was charged June 8 with petite larceny, first offense, and being drunk in public.

A Callao man, 20, was charged June 10 with petite larceny, first offense. This was a Richmond County warrant served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 54, was charged June 10 with threatening an illegal/immoral act over the telephone.

A Heathsville man, 41, was charged June 11 on a show cause from the Westmoreland County General District Court for failing to obey a court order and has been non-compliant with VASAP.

A Heathsville woman, 27, was charged June 13 with assault and battery.

A Nokesville man, 24, was charged June 24 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Reedville man, 39, was charged June 15 with a capias/attachment of the body for failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court.
