Sheriffs’ Reports 8-01-19

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.

Felonies

Anthony Terrel Wilson, 24, of White Stone was charged July 23 with burglary in the nighttime to commit larceny, grand larceny and destruction of property.

Teresa Faye Kellum, 44, of Lancaster was charged July 23 with knowingly communicating in writing, threats to kill or do bodily harm to a person or family member.

Misdemeanors

A Weems woman, 21, was charged July 22 with cruelty to animals and failure to have dog/cat vaccinated for rabies.

A Weems woman, 66, was charged July 22 with an alcohol safety program violation.

A Weems man, 20, was charged July 22 with cruelty to animals.

A Weems man, 33, was charged July 24 with failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor offense.

A Heathsville woman, 28, was charged July 25 with disorderly conduct.

A Weems man, 54, was charged July 27 with violating a protective order, third violation within 20 years.

Activity report

July 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Landsend West for a suspicious vehicle, to the 700 block of Carlee Road for destruction of property, to the 100 block of James Point for an unattended death, to the intersection of Boys Camp Road and Castle Lane for a downed tree in the roadway, to Old Salem Road for a downed tree in the roadway, to the 600 block of Nuttsville Road for a downed tree in the roadway, and to the 800 block of Fleets Bay Road for a downed tree blocking the roadway.

July 23: Staff responded to Little Bay Road for a downed tree in the roadway, to the 300 block of Millenbeck Road for a downed tree in the roadway, to the 500 block of Nuttsville Road for a domestic assault, to the 400 block of Harris Road for possible child abuse, to the 100 block of Gemini Road for a disturbance over a civil issue, to Devils Bottom Road for an overturned single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 500 block of Southport Lane for a verbal disagreement between neighbors, to the 500 block of Paynes Creek Road for a suspicious vehicle, and to a walk-in report of threats made in writing to kill or maim a person.

July 24: Staff responded to the 500 block of Lancaster Creek Road for a stolen firearm, to Gaines Road for illegal dumping, and to the 200 block of Greenwood Court for the report of vandalism of an automobile windshield.

July 25: Staff responded to Pinckardsville Road for illegal dumping, to the 7800 block of River Road for an accidental shooting of a person, to the 100 block of Fox Hill Drive to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with the report of brandishing a firearm and threats to kill, and to the 200 block of Buzzards Neck Road for a verbal disagreement.

July 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 1000 block of Devils Bottom Road for a traffic crash involving an overturned vehicle, to the 1300 block of Ocran Road for a trespasser; and to the 1100 block of Mosquito Point Road to check the welfare of the resident after receiving a report of suspicious activity.

July 27: Staff responded to the 300 block of Old Ferry Road for trespassers, to the 100 block of Scott Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Methodist Church Road for vandalism, to the 1200 block of Irvington Road for a verbal disagreement, and to the 1400 block of Irvington Road for the reported violation of a protective order.

July 28: Staff responded to the 100 block of Kenner Drive for a noise violation from loud music, to the 800 block of Lumberlost Road for a domestic assault and vandalism of a vehicle, to the 600 block of Whispering Pines Road for a domestic disturbance involving a juvenile, and to the 100 block of Irvington Road to assist KPD with a fight in progress.

Staff also conducted nine traffic stops, issued three summonses, assisted 11 motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled a call for traffic control, investigated nine building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged five inmate transports, received eight E911 hang-up calls and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Lancaster fire calls

Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire department responded to a structure fire on Irvington Road.

White Stone VFD also responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Pop Castle Road.

Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Edmonds Lane.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a lift assistance request on Hickory Road and to a traffic crash on Devils Bottom Road.

Lancaster EMS calls

The Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 34 calls for service, including 22 medical emergencies, four injuries, a traffic accident, two fire calls and five other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against six individuals.

Felonies

Robert Coley Lawson, 18, of Callao was charged July 26 with breaking and entering the Dollar General Store. He also was charged with petit larceny and fleeing from law enforcement.

Tanya Gaskins, 43, of Callao was charged July 26 with embezzlement, third-plus offense. This was a Lancaster warrant, served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).

Crystal Eboneic Stuckey, 45, of Newport News was charged July 26 with two counts of felony forgery. She also was charged with shoplifting, third-plus offense, a misdemeanor larceny, third offense and two counts of obtaining money by false pretense. These were Williamsburg/James City County warrants and were served by the NCSO.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 19, was charged July 25 with having consensual sex with a minor over the age of 15.

A Callao man, 51, was charged July 26 with assault and battery.

A Kinsale man, 39, was charged July 26 with shoplifting from the Virginia ABC Store. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Virginia State Police.
