Sheriffs’ Reports 8-15-19

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against 11 individuals.

Felonies

Latrice Michelle Brown, 29, of White Stone was charged August 5 with destruction of property valued over $1,000, aggressive driving with intent to harass, intimidate or obstruct another person, reckless driving and driving while license suspended or revoked, third offense within 10 years.

Jonathan Frederick Mitchell, 29, of Lancaster was charged August 5 with failure to register as a sex offender after having previous like offense.

Misdemeanors

A Weems woman, 57, was charged August 5 with a violation of pretrial services. She also was charged August 11 with failure to appear for an arraignment on a capias/pre-trial violation.

A Heathsville man, 23, was charged August 5 with a probation violation regarding a felony offense.

A Heathsville man, 36, was charged August 5 with violation of a protective order.

An Irvington man, 32, was charged August 7 with violation of a protective order.

A Lancaster woman, 30, was charged August 8 with contempt of court, failure to appear.

A Kilmarnock man, 41, was charged August 8 with contempt of court, failure to appear and violation of the conditions of a pretrial release.

A White Stone man, 27, was charged August 9 with failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense.

A Kilmarnock man, 23, was charged August 10 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Weems woman, 35, was charged August 11 with failure to appear on a driving suspended charge.

Activity report

August 5: Staff responded to a walk-in report of obtaining money by false pretenses, to the 300 block of White Pine Drive for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for a suspicious person, to the 100 block of Morattico Road for larceny of a Mongoose mountain bike, to the 300 block of North Main Street to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department with a large group creating a disturbance, and to the 100 block of Pond Drive for a fight in progress.

August 6: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for a disorderly person, to Slabtown Road for an intoxicated person walking in the highway, to the 300 block of Meyers Drive for a disturbance that involved brandishing a firearm, to the area of Pinckardsville for a possible suicidal person, and to the 500 block of Wilson Lane for a suspicious vehicle.

August 7: Staff responded to the 5700 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol, to the 2800 block of Mary Ball Road for an abandoned vehicle, to Bewdley Road for suspicious vehicles, to the 200 block of Cowshed Road for a domestic disturbance, to a walk-in report of a child custody issue, and to the 900 block of Christ Church Road for a domestic disturbance.

August 8: Staff responded to the 1000 block of Goodluck Road for an unattended death, to the 100 block of Sand Dollar Lane for a civil issue, and to River Road for a downed tree in the roadway.

August 9: Staff responded to Devils Bottom Road for a tree down in the highway, to the 1600 block of Waverly Avenue for an assault, and to the 100 block of Harris Drive for a verbal disagreement.

August 10: Staff responded to the 700 block of Mosquito Point Road for a truck blocking a lane of traffic, to the 300 block of Meyers Drive for gunshots in the area, to Quarters Cove Drive for gunshots in a residential area, to Christ Church Road for a downed tree blocking the highway, to the 100 block of Mad Calf Lane for fireworks, and to Carlson Road for a missing person.

August 11: Staff responded to Greenwood Court for a verbal disagreement, to the 9900 block of Mary Ball Road for a disturbance from a large party, to the 300 block of Meyers Drive for a verbal disagreement, to the 200 block of Old Fairground Way for an attempted suicide, to Gaskins Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash and the theft of that involved vehicle, and to the 500 block of Paynes Creek Road for a suicidal person.

Staff also conducted 13 traffic stops, issued three summonses, assisted seven motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received seven E911 hang-up calls and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Lancaster fire calls

The White Stone Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Irvington Road and to a lift assistance request on Greenwood Court.

The Kilmarnock VFD responded to a lift assistance request on Greenwood Court.

The Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a downed tree in the roadway on River Road, a vehicle crash into a building on Mary Ball Road and a possible structure fire on Mary Ball Road.

Lancaster EMS calls

For August 4-10, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 42 calls for service, including 19 medical emergencies, 12 injuries, a traffic accident, a fire and nine other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against 10 individuals.

Felonies

Anthony Lee Cunningham, no address or age given, was charged August 9 with stalking and violation of a protective order.

Kevin Wayne Lowe, 50, of Heathsville was charged August 9 with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a Schedule I or II drug.

Bennie Terrio Lee, 35, of Reedville was charged August 9 with strangulation and two counts of assault and battery on family members. He also was charged with driving suspended/revoked.

Searra Skye Krammer, 23, of Heathsville was charged August 9 with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a Schedule I or II drug. She also was charged with assault and battery of a family member.

Everette Randolph Hanson, 76, of Heathsville was charged August 10 with bestiality.

Nathan Allan Kramer, 19, of Callao was charged August 12 with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Misdemeanors

A Walkerton woman, 38, was charged August 5 with violating a protective order. This was a Northumberland warrant, served by the King and Queen County Sheriff’s Office.

A Kilmarnock woman, 33, was charged August 6 with assault and battery.

A Burgess man, 74, was charged August 8 with two summonses for reckless driving and failing to abide a traffic light. These were King and Queen summonses and were served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Reedville woman, 56, was charged August 9 with three counts of failing to vaccinate her animals, along with three counts of failing to pay for the tags/license. All six of these charges were summonses.

Northumberland fire calls

For the week of August 5-12, the Callao VFD responded to eight calls, including two medical calls, 3 motor vehicle crashes, a fire, a public event and a wires down.

The Fairfields VFD responded to five calls, including a motor vehicle crash, a fire, a brush fire, a fire alarm and a public event.

Northumberland EMS calls

For the week of August 5-12, the Northumberland County Emergency Services, Callao Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad and Northumberland County Volunteer Rescue Squad responded to 38 calls, including 24 medical calls, three motor vehicle crashes, two standby requests, six trauma/falls, two alarms and a mutual aid call.
