The Northern Neck Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (NNMOAA) will hold its 26th annual Memorial Day Commemoration May 28 at Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.
The ceremony will begin with patriotic music at 11 a.m. and continue with a formal observance, led by the Rev. David May, beginning at 11:30 a.m., reported program coordinator retired USMCR Lt. Col. Michael Schoelwer.
The keynote speaker will be retired USMC Maj. Gen. Timothy Hanifen. Officer and enlisted honorees, who also serve as wreath bearers, will be retired USN Lt. Cmdr. Howard York and former USMC Cpl. John M. Hope….
