Josh Speight of Locust Hill has qualified to be one the 10 professional golfers on the U.S. team to compete in the 28th PGA Cup at Foxhills Club and Resort September 15 through 17 in Ottershaw, Surrey, England, against Great Britain and Ireland.

The U.S. team is the primer international showcase for Professional Golf Association (PGA) club professionals. Speight is the assistant club pro at Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club near Kilmarnock.

Last year Speight qualified for the PGA Championship that is made up of the world’s top touring pros and a handful of club pros that must qualify in regional tournaments.
