LIVELY—Strong winds and driving rain left homeowners and businesses in upper Lancaster County clearing storm debris over the weekend.

According to Lancaster County Emergency Services Chief Matthew Smith, about 2,100 residents were left without power for several hours last Saturday night after a storm blew through the Northern Neck.

Smith said he received a weather alert about the storm only 10 minutes before it struck around 8:30 p.m….
