Friends of Dragon Run (FODR) recently announced its guided summer paddle trips on the Dragon Run.
FODR is dedicated to preserving the Dragon Run which flows through Middle Peninsula, reported communications director Jack Kauffman. The organization hosts paddle trips to educate the public and to raise funds to protect land along the swamp and stream.
In the summer, the Dragon Run is particularly beautiful with flowers, especially the pickerelweed, spatterdock, buttonbush and swamp rose, said Kauffman.
