Sundays at Two: Burke to address ‘War on Drugs’

Admiral William F. Raborn Jr. presents the CIA Star of Valor to Terrence Burke in 1965. Burke will present “Why America is Losing the ‘War on Drugs’” at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 2, at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Sundays at Two sponsored by the Lancaster Community Library will resume February 2 with Terry Burke, former acting administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Drawing on 30 years of experience in the trenches and as agency head working with the Justice Department, Congress, White House and the media, Burke will share his perspective on “Why America is Losing ‘The War on Drugs’,”  reported library director Alice Cooper.

Burke served in domestic and overseas undercover assignments with the DEA and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) following his early career with the U.S. Marine Corps. During his decade with the CIA, he conducted covert paramilitary operations in….
