LANCASTER—Lancaster supervisors on December 4 drafted conditions related to a proposed solar farm off Ocran Road. Supervisors will consider granting a special exception permit for the solar facility tonight, December 13.
A related hearing was held November 15, however, a decision on the permit application was tabled so supervisors could determine and set the conditions.
“These conditions are for this particular facility,” said District 3 supervisor Jason Bellows.
Conditions would include a perimeter vegetated buffer. Vegetation must be native, non-invasive species, maintained mechanically and aided only by non-restricted use herbicides. The permitted buffering will consist…
