Northumberland High School senior pitcher Brantley Swift has committed to play softball at Bridgewater College in Harrisonburg.
Swift signed a letter of intent to play softball at the NCAA Division III school on November 8 before about 30 friends and family members in the NHS auditorium. Participating in the ceremony were her parents, Greg and Cindy Swift of Reedville, along with NHS varsity softball coach and Bridgewater alum Michael Baker and JJ Ashberry, coach of Swift’s travel softball team, Bay Thunder.
